Art Collections of Chen Xiangbo debuts in Beijing, inviting young people to embrace traditional art
On September 1, the exhibition of works by Chen Xiangbo opened at the Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy. As a renowned contemporary artist, Chen Xiangbo, the curator of Guan Shanyue Art Museum in Shenzhen, China, has explored a wide range of Chinese painting styles over the past four decades. His works encompass meticulous flower-and-bird paintings and expressive ink art. The artist has gained popularity for his unique zodiac-themed cartoon designs that have gone viral on the internet. In recent years, he has also embraced the fusion of new media and digital art. According to Chen Xiangbo, Chinese painting is an art form that thrives on assimilation, drawing from diverse influences. The essence of Chinese painting lies in the ability to integrate different elements and accumulate experiences, creating a unique artistic expression that resonates with Chinese literati. In his view, to create Chinese painting, the artist not only requires the talent and skill of the painting but also knowledge of poetry, calligraphy, and other cultural aspects. #artandculture
