On the first day of the May Day holiday, the surge in tourist traffic around the country became the focus.
The latest data from Ctrip, a Chinese online ticketing platform, shows that the overall travel orders on April 29 increased by more than 10 times compared to this time last year, more than one time compared to the 2019 level, and 668% compared to the first day of Spring Festival holiday this year.
Among them, businesses like scenic spot tickets, train tickets, homestay and hotel booking achieved the most significant year-on-year growth. For instance, the volume of tickets for scenic spots on the platform on the 29th day increased by more than 4 times compared to the 2019 level, of which booking in Guangdong increased by 385% with tickets in Guangzhou increasing by up to 860%.
During the May Day holiday, many citizens and tourists went into Lingnan Tiandi, the most densely populated and largest historical and cultural district in Foshan, Guangdong with the best preservation of traditional features, for an in-depth trip to inherit Lingnan culture and art.
As one of the top ten folk customs, the Foshan Ancestral Temple Fair was held at Liyu Square in Lingnan Tiandi this year. The traditional temple fair gathered products such as creative cultural accessories and oriental handicrafts, as well as activities like national style jazz show, collage for prayer, open mic and other activities, making the traditional fair a little fashionable and a cultural experience.
It is reported that the original immersive modern dance drama presented by Lingnan Tiandi in collaboration with the Ancestral Temple Sub-district Office and Guangzhou Yunna Dance Company has been added to the program on May 1st, building an immersive atmosphere for cultural and artistic experience in the shopping district.
The May Day holiday has also become a peak time for parents to take their children on a trip.
According to data from the Chinese travel website Mafengwo, the topic of Parent-Child Tour on the May Day holiday rose by 240%, driving the popularity of theme parks, zoos, museums and other cultural venues to soar.
According to Ctrip's airline booking data, parent-child tour orders on the May Day holiday accounted for nearly 40 percent, up 59 percent from 2019. What's more, kindergarten to high school students aged 3-17 were among the groups with the highest increase.
In Huadu District, Guangzhou, a newly-upgraded indoor snow park in Guangzhou became a popular destination for parents and children before the May Day holiday.
On the first day of the holiday, many parents and children in the snowy park played together with treasure hunting, snowball shooting and costumed charactersperformers, making it possible for southern people to feel the childhood fun of their Northern counterparts.
逛庙会、观舞剧、带娃玩雪... ...“五一”一起潮玩岭南!
“五一”黄金周首日,各地旅游客流的暴增成为焦点。
携程平台最新数据显示,4月29日整体旅游订单量同比去年“五一”首日增长超10倍,较2019年“五一”首日增长超1倍,较今年春节假期首日激增668%。
其中,景区门票、火车票、民宿、酒店等业务类型同比增长最为显著,29日当天平台景区门票票量比2019年增长超4倍,其中广东景区门票同比增长385%,广州景区门票同比增长高达860%。
“五一”假期,不少市民游客走进佛山文物古迹最密集且规模最大、传统风貌保存最完整的历史文化街区岭南天地,进行一场传承岭南文化与艺术的深度之旅。
作为十大民俗之一的佛山祖庙庙会今年在岭南天地鲤鱼广场举行,传统庙会集合国潮文创周边、东方美学手作,以及国风爵士、祈愿拼贴诗、开放麦等活动,让传统中带一点时尚,有文化体验又新潮有趣。
据悉,由岭南天地携手祖庙街道、云娜舞团推出的原创沉浸式现代舞剧,在“五一”假期,特别增加了劳动节当天5月1日的场次,为商圈注入沉浸式文化艺术因子。
难得的“五一”假期也成为家长们带娃出游的集中时段。
马蜂窝数据显示,“五一亲子游”相关热度涨幅高达240%,带动主题乐园、动物园、博物馆等文化类场所热度飙升。
根据携程机票预订数据,“五一”亲子游订单占比近40%,同比2019年提升59%,3-17岁的幼儿园至高中学生群体也是五一机票预订增幅最高的群体之一。
在广州花都,广州热雪奇迹在“五一”假期前全新升级的娱雪区成为亲子游的热门去处。
假期首日,不少身处飘雪北欧小镇的家长和孩子一起玩雪地寻宝、雪球打靶、人偶互动……南方的大小朋友也能感受到北方孩子的童年乐趣。
