The China Import and Export Fair, also known as theCanton Fair, continues to attract large numbers of visitors in its second phase.
This year, the fair has introduced a new trade supporting zone, which features a range of trade service companies offering servicessuch as logistics, storage, finance and insurance. This move is expected to strengthen connections between the goods trade, service trade, and digital trade.
Guangdong enterprises seize cross-border E-commerce opportunities
The rapid rise of the e-commerce industry has brought about significant impacts on traditional businesses, but it has also created new opportunities for foreign trade companies.
To further enhance Guangdong enterprises' abilities to overcome the challenges brought about by the decline in general trade, Guangzhou Overseas Exhibition International Company will hold cross-border e-commerce product selection exhibitions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August and December, respectively. These exhibitions will provide more Guangdong enterprises with solutions for promoting their products and brands overseas.
Eagle Coin, an established Guangdong brand, has also seized the opportunities presented by cross-border e-commerce and aims to achieve a 30% sales growth year-on-year in the international market. The company is developing seafood and leisure products that meet the international market's standards, promoting them both online and offline.
With 47 new products on display, Triangle Group wants to leverage the Canton Fair to promote the upgrading of cross-border e-commerce channels and facilitate foreign trade transformation and upgrading.
Trade services assist foreign trade enterprises to go global
For the first time, the national-level exhibition, which has always focused on commodity trading exhibitions, has established a trade supporting zone, fully highlighting the high attention to and a new understanding of trade services.
Amongst the first pilot cities for cross-border e-commerce in China, Guangzhou had ranked first in terms of cross-border e-commerce scale for eight consecutive years in the last year.
On the first day of the trade service exhibition, Guangzhou Top Ideal received more than 120 customers and offered diversified and customized service solutions. One of the highlights is the RCEP hub. The Top Ideal Cross-border E-commerce Engineering Research Center promotes diversified new trade solutions by studying the preferential policies of RCEP, such as rules of origin, direct transportation rules, and tariff benefits.
Known as the largest-ever Canton Fair, it has attracted PingPong, an international payment platform, to participate for the first time. Qi Yaping, the Product General Manager of PingPong, told reporters that more and more companies are entering the export market but lack high-quality financial services, while PingPong can solve various issues such as capital security, payment costs, and collection efficiency for companies.
Since participating in this year's Canton Fair, PingPong has received over 5,000 pieces of customer information and signed nearly 200 orders. "We found that the most frequently asked question from small and micro enterprises at this Canton Fair is how to legally and compliantly handle money transfers," said Zhang Lin, the Marketing Director of PingPong. Many traditional trading companies are unfamiliar with third-party payment companies, and many foreign customers from countries such as South Africa and Australia have come to inquire about it.
广交会首设贸易配套区
进入第二期,第133届中国进出口商品交易会(以下简称“广交会”)依然人头攒动。
本届广交会新设贸易配套区,首次引入了物流仓储、金融保险、检测认证、商业咨询、设计创新、跨境电商和综合服务等贸易服务企业参展,货物贸易、服务贸易、数字贸易联系更加紧密。
多家粤企抢抓跨境电商机遇

为进一步加强广东企业克服一般贸易下滑带来的不利局面,加强以跨境电商模式开拓东南亚市场的规模和实力,广州外展国际会展有限公司将在今年8月和12月,分别在越南胡志明和马来西亚吉隆坡举办跨境电商选品展,为更多广东企业产品和品牌出海提供解决方案。
来自广东的老字号鹰金钱也抓住跨境电商的机遇在广交会上振翅欲飞,今年,鹰金钱对于国际市场目标是同期30%的销售增长。目前企业正在开发符合国际市场的海鱼、休闲类产品,线上线下同步宣传和推广。

贸易服务助外贸企业顺畅“出海”
一直以商品交易展览为主的国家级展会首次设立贸易配套区,充分突显出对贸易服务的高度重视与全新认识。
广州是国家首批跨境电商试点城市之一,截至去年已连续八年实现跨境电商进出口规模全国第一。
在贸易服务展开展首日,来自广州的卓志集团就接待超过120名客户,并带来了多样化、定制化服务方案,其中一大亮点就是打造RCEP hub。卓志跨境电商工程研究中心通过研究RCEP如原产地规则、直运规则、关税利好等政策红利,推动多元化新贸易方案落地,
“史上最大规模”的一届广交会吸引了国际收款平台PingPong首次参展。PingPong产品总经理戚亚萍向记者表示,越来越多的企业加入到了外贸出口的赛道之中,但却在资金上缺乏优质服务。PingPong能够为企业们解决资金安全、支付成本、收款效率等各个方面的问题。
参加本届广交会以来,PingPong获得了超5000条客户线索,签下了近200单。“在这次广交会上,我们发现,小微企业主动询问最多的问题是资金进出如何合法合规。”PingPong市场总监张琳表示,在广交会上有不少是传统的贸易公司,对第三方支付公司整个市场了解的程度不足,也有很多的外国客商前来咨询,不乏南非、澳大利亚等国家的客商。
