In Baini Town, Foshan City, rows of bacon and baskets of preserved ducks are drying in the sun, permeating the air with their fragrance. Preserved duck is one of Foshan’s intangible cultural heritage dishes. Because it was cheap and easy to keep and carry, the dish gradually became very popular. It is still a homely dish that carries people’s nostalgia and is deeply loved by diners in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao to this day.

在佛山市白坭镇,一排排腊肉、一筐筐腊鸭正在阳光下晾晒,香味弥漫,这正是佛山市级非遗美食——腊鸭扎。由于这类食材便宜且易于保存和携带,逐渐流行起来。时至今日,腊鸭扎依旧是承载着人们乡愁的家乡美食,深受珠三角及粤港澳地区食客的喜爱。
