Liyuange Restaurant in Xinhui is attracting food lovers with its selection of local specialties. One standout dish is a wild freshwater Heshun fish weighing over 3.5 kilograms, prepared in two ways. The firm, garlic-clove-shaped flesh along its back is delicate and naturally sweet, while the belly offers a tender, silky texture. Other highlights include plump, juicy Huangsha clams and steamed pork intestines with shrimp, squid and Shunde-style chili cake. From fresh seafood to distinctive local flavors, Xinhui offers plenty of reasons to plan a weekend food trip.
