City Life | During the 2026 National Day holiday, the Shantou-Chaozhou-Jieyang Tourism Alliance recorded 940,000 tourist visits, while average daily tourist visits rose 27.9% year on year, highlighting Chaoshan’s growing appeal as a cultural and tourism destination in Guangdong. Building on tourism routes developed by the alliance, cities across the region — including Shantou, Chaozhou, Jieyang and Shanwei — hosted a diverse range of activities, from Yingge Dance and lion dance performances to intangible cultural heritage experiences and beachside music events. Basketball tournaments and other sporting events added to the festive atmosphere. The popular film Dear You is also drawing visitors to its filming locations. During the National Day holiday, the filming location in Jieyang Ancient City officially opened to the public, giving visitors another way to explore the area.#citylife
