On the afternoon of September 3rd, around 150 representatives from leading Asia-Pacific media outlets attending the Asia-Pacific Media Forum, themed "Building a Path to Shared Prosperity for the Asia-Pacific Community: Media Consensus and Action," took Guangzhou Metro Line 18, dubbed the fastest metro line in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), to Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port,where they experienced firsthand the vitality of China's high-level opening-up.

Opened in September 2021, Guangzhou Metro Line 18 is China's first fully underground metropolitan express line with a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour, serving as a "major north-south transport artery" in the GBA. Departing from Xiancun Station in Zhujiang New Town, the media group reached Wanqingsha Station in Nansha in merely about 30 minutes. The spacious, bright carriages and smooth, rapid ride, reaching 160 kilometers per hour, impressed many foreign journalists.

The Nansha Port Area of Guangzhou Port gave the journalists even more reason to reach for their cameras. Traditional cargo handlers were barely visible across the vast operation area, as quay cranes precisely and automatically handled containers while unmanned intelligent guided vehicles transported them autonomously. Phase IV of the Nansha Port Area is the first newly built fully automated container terminal in the GBA, and it had just passed the on-site assessment for the four-star "China Smart Port"rating on September 1st. At the Guangzhou Nansha International Logistics Center, neatly stacked containers also caught the journalists' attention. With a storage capacity of 230,000 metric tons, the cold-chain logistics center has 162 inspection platforms and can inspect more than 200 cold-chain containers in a single day. In Guangzhou's Nansha, the Asia-Pacific journalists experienced firsthand the full chain from infrastructure connectivity to trade facilitation.

亚太媒体记者广州南沙行：无人码头与高速地铁展现开放脉动

9月3日下午，参加“共筑亚太共同体繁荣之路：媒体的共识与行动”亚太媒体高端论坛的约150名亚太地区主流媒体代表，乘坐了被誉为“粤港澳大湾区最快地铁”的广州地铁18号线，抵达并参观广州港南沙港区，实地感受中国高水平对外开放的脉动。

广州地铁18号线于2021年9月开通运营，是国内第一条时速160千米的全地下市域快线，定位为湾区“南北大动脉”。媒体团从珠江新城的冼村站出发，仅用约30分钟抵达南沙的万顷沙站。车厢内宽敞明亮，运行平稳快速，160千米的时速惊艳了许多外国记者。

广州港南沙港区更令记者不禁举起相机。偌大的作业区几乎看不到传统装卸工人，岸桥精准自动抓取集装箱，无人驾驶智能导引车自主转运——广州港南沙港区四期是粤港澳大湾区首个全新建造的全自动化集装箱码头，就在9月1日刚刚通过四星级“中国智慧港口”现场评审。而在广州南沙国际物流中心，码放整齐的货柜吸引了记者们的目光。这座23万吨库容的冷链物流中心依托162个查验月台，单日最多可查验超200个冷链集装箱。亚太媒体记者在广州南沙亲身感受到了从基础设施互联到贸易便利互通的完整链条。
