Art And Culture｜The Chinese film Dear You, filmed in Jieyang, Guangdong, recently premiered in Thailand, attracting members of overseas Chinese communities as well as local moviegoers. The film tells the touching story of an older generation of overseas Chinese who left their hometowns in search of a better life abroad, yet remained deeply connected to their homeland, families, and cultural roots.

As one of the film’s main filming locations, Jieyang — an ancestral hometown for many overseas Chinese — has once again drawn attention for its rich historical heritage, traditional architecture, and enduring overseas Chinese culture.#artandculture
