The China International Animation Copyright Fair (ACTIF) kicked off in Dongguan on August 6th, bringing together top-tier international IPsand 500 exhibitors, while featuring mecha parades and traditional Chinese-style processions. It offers a cultural feast of animation and trendy toys for everyone to enjoy.

The five‑day fair covers 33,100 square meters and brings together 500 domestic and international exhibitors, featuring over 2,200 top‑quality global IPs. It has also attracted 5,000 professional buyers through targeted outreach, setting new records in both international scale and the depth of industry matchmaking.

For the first time, the fair has established a strategic partnership with the Association Internationale du Film d'Animation (ASIFA). It has presented special screenings of over 40 award-winning animated films from the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival. Over 100 leading figures from the global animation industry have been invited to attend, including former ASIFA president Abi Feijó, European stop-motion animation pioneer Ilan Urroz, and heads of animation associations from various countries. Additionally, working with the China-Arab States International Multilateral Cooperation Center and several consulates in Guangzhou, the event has organized cross‑border buyer delegations totaling 808 participants.

The fair uses animation and trendy toy IPs as a bridge to connect the fields of animation creation, digital technology, product manufacturing, museums and intangible cultural heritage, and consumer commerce. It features a Smart Animation Digital Integration zone, showcasing technological advances in AI-generated animation, virtual digital humans, VR interaction, and intelligent manufacturing.

The venue features a variety of immersive public activities, including mecha parades, robot band performances, and autograph sessions with animation creators, as well as top cosplayers boasting over 10 million followers. Around the venue, a trendy toy music festival, industrial study tours, and intangible cultural heritage shows are also being staged, helping turn the area into a go‑to leisure destination in the Greater Bay Area.
