深圳科学家用菌丝“织”出一条裙子
City Life|The cordyceps flowers often found in supermarkets and commonly used in soups is scientifically known as Cordyceps militaris. Researchers have now discovered that its mycelium may have applications far beyond the kitchen — including wearable materials. On July 25, a research team led by Zhong Chao at the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences published a groundbreaking study in the journal Science Advances. Using mycelium derived from Cordyceps militaris, the team developed a living textile and successfully produced a dress with self-healing capabilities, opening new possibilities for sustainable and bio-inspired materials.#citylife
