On May 27th, an intelligent green factory with a total investment of 1.25 billion yuan and an annual production capacity of 1.5 million tons was officially completed in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. The project marks another major investment by Swire Coca-Cola in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). Just one month earlier, Coca-Cola China began operations at its plant in Jinwan District, Zhuhai, which involved an investment of 835 million yuan. The opening of the two new plants stands as a microcosm of the foreign investment landscape across the GBA in the first half of this year.

According to preliminary public data, around 30 foreign-funded projects have been launched or signed in the first five months of 2026. These projects are located in core cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan and Jiangmen, covering a range of cutting-edge sectors such as semiconductors, biomedicine, green petrochemicals, inspection and testing as well as smart logistics.

So far, more than 390,000 foreign-funded enterprises in total have been established in Guangdong Province, while actual utilized foreign investment has exceeded 610 billion U.S. dollars, ranking among the highest in China. In 2025, 36,000 new foreign-funded enterprises were established in Guangdong, up by 38.7% year on year, while actual utilized foreign investment reached 112.66 billion yuan, an increase of 11.3%. Major projects have become the "ballast stone" for stabilizing foreign investment. In 2025, Guangdong recorded 38 major projects with actual foreign investment exceeding 100 million U.S. dollars each, 11 more than the previous year. These projects accounted for 8.03 billion U.S. dollars in actual utilized foreign investment, representing 50.9% of the province's total utilized foreign investment.

从可口可乐“豪饮”大湾区，看全球资本密集涌入的逻辑

5月27日，广州黄埔区，一座总投资12.5亿元、年产能达150万吨的智能绿色工厂正式落成。这是太古可口可乐在大湾区落下的又一枚“重子”。对于可口可乐中国来说，仅一个月前，其在珠海金湾的工厂刚以8.35亿元投资投产。可口可乐系的“双厂落子”，是今年上半年大湾区外资版图的一个缩影。

根据公开信息的不完全统计，2026年前五个月，大湾区已有约30个外资项目落地或签约，分布在广州、深圳、珠海、佛山、江门等核心城市，覆盖半导体、生物医药、绿色石化、检验检测、智慧物流等多个前沿领域。

截至目前，广东全省累计设立外资企业超过39万家，实际使用外资超过6100亿美元，稳居全国前列。2025年，广东全省新设外资企业3.6万家、增长38.7%，实际使用外资1126.6亿元、增长11.3%。大项目成为稳外资的“压舱石”。2025年，实际到资1亿美元以上大项目38个，比上年同期增加11个，实际使用外资80.3亿美元，占全省实际使用外资的50.9%。
