Over 2,700 new foreign-invested enterprises were established, up more than 15% from a year earlier, while newly signed contractual foreign investment exceeded 25 billion yuan, a surge of over 53% year on year. These figures underscore Shenzhen's continued appeal and competitiveness as a global investment hotspot.

In the field of next-generation electronic information, Finland's Salcomp has added a new production line and R&D innovation center in Shenzhen. In the advanced manufacturing sector, the southern China headquarters of Finland's KONE officially commenced operations in Shenzhen, while Switzerland's Brusa continues to increase its investment in wireless charging technology for electric vehicles in the city. The well-established industrial chain and innovation ecosystem reinforce each other, making Shenzhen a "powerful magnet" that attracts a flood of global high-end manufacturing resources.
International brands such as Singapore's Aman Resorts and Hilton's Waldorf Astoria have come to Shenzhen for investment negotiations. Manchester City FC continues to ramp up its investment, while well-known retailers like Walmart and Costco are steadily expanding their store networks. Meanwhile, companies including Switzerland's Nestlé are establishing R&D centers in Shenzhen. These moves clearly reflect foreign investors' strong confidence in the growth prospects of Shenzhen's service sector.
2026 marks the APEC "China Year." As the host city for the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting, Shenzhen has seen a significant increase in investment from APEC member economies. In the first quarter of 2026, the actual utilized foreign investment from APEC member economies exceeded 16 billion yuan, accounting for 94.5% of the city's total actual utilized foreign investment. APEC member economies such as the United States, South Korea, Japan, and Australia are increasingly active in investing in Shenzhen. For example, US-based WHOOP has established a South China R&D center for smart devices in Shenzhen; South Korea's Mirae Asset Financial Group has launched a software technology R&D center; and Japan's Round One Group has set up its China headquarters in Shenzhen.

2026年是APEC中国年,深圳作为APEC领导人非正式会议举办地,APEC成员经济体对深投资热度显著升温。1—3月,来源于APEC成员经济体的实际使用外资规模超160亿元,占全市实际使用外资总额的94.5%。美国、韩国、日本、澳大利亚等APEC成员经济体对深投资愈加踊跃,例如,美国悟谱在深打造智能设备华南研发中心、韩国未来集团落地软件技术研发中心、日本朗玩集团在深设立中国区总部等。
