The China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), now in its 139th edition, and the 2026 Guangdong City Basketball League (YueBA), currently in full swing. What happens when a commercial event and a sporting spectacle come together?

On April 18th, the fourth round of the YueBA regular season saw Guangzhou take on Zhaoqing at the Tianhe Sports Center Gymnasium. After a long day of work, two Argentine buyers, Claudio and Rossi, made a special trip to the gymnasium to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of the YueBA and enjoy the basketball feast with the fans.

"The basketball atmosphere here is amazing!" Rossi exclaimed upon arriving at the gymnasium. Rossi is a product manager at LSQTOFF Home, an Argentine company. He came to Guangzhou specifically for the 139th Canton Fair, and this marked his 48th trip to the event. Having become very familiar with the city, Rossi loves Guangzhou's culture and cuisine, and enjoys every moment he spends there.

Claudio, also a basketball enthusiast, proudly noted that his son participates in various basketball competitions in Argentina. During the interview, Claudio specifically mentioned Manu Ginóbili, the famous Argentine basketball star who represents the country's basketball excellence.

At the YueBA-themed market held at the gymnasium, Claudio and Rossi tasted two of Guangzhou's specialty pastries, pineapple cakes and lychee cakes, giving a thumbs-up to the camera. Guangzhou is home to the 139th edition of China's No. 1 Fair, alongside a grassroots league in full swing. When sporting passion fuels trade and cultural exchange enriches the competitive arena, the city tells the world that Guangzhou is a place for both business and enjoyment.

当广交会外商邂逅粤BA，广州的双重身份瞒不住了

一边是举行了139届的广交会，一边是正进行得如火如荼的粤BA，当商业和体育盛会相遇，会擦出怎样的火花？

4月18日，粤BA常规赛第四轮广州对阵肇庆的比赛在天河体育馆进行，两位来自阿根廷的外商克劳迪奥和罗西在结束了一天的工作后专程来到天河体育馆，亲身感受粤BA的火热氛围，和现场球迷一道共享篮球盛宴。

“这里的篮球氛围实在是太好了！”一来到天河体育馆，罗西便兴奋地说。罗西是阿根廷LSQTOFF Home公司的产品经理，此次专程来广州参加第139届广交会，这也是他的第48次广交会之旅。对于罗西而言，他已经非常熟悉广州这座城市，他喜欢广州的文化、美食，并享受在这里的每时每刻。

克劳迪奥同样是一名篮球爱好者，他骄傲地介绍他的儿子在阿根廷也会参加各种篮球比赛。在接受采访时，克劳迪奥还专门提到了吉诺比利的名字，这位著名的阿根廷篮球明星代表着阿根廷的篮球水平。

在天河体育馆现场设置的粤BA特色市集，克劳迪奥和罗西一同品尝了广州的特色点心凤梨酥和荔枝酥，并向镜头竖起了大拇指。一边是办了139届的“中国第一展”，一边是进行得如火如荼的草根联赛。当体育激情赋能商贸往来，当文化交流融入竞技赛场，这座城市正在用自己的方式告诉世界：广州，既宜商，也宜乐。
