This March marked a highlight for Guangzhou's gaming industry. On March 21st, the Battle of Golden Spatula (JCC) Open Championship 2026: Grand Finals concluded at the Canton Tower, partnering with over 80 local restaurants and converting esports viewership into increased consumption.
Around the same time, the "2025 Guangzhou Games Industry Development Report" was released: Guangzhou's gaming industry revenue reached 153.245 billion yuan in 2025, accounting for 42.8% of the national market. In the "2025 China Mini-Game Top 100 Enterprises," 32 Guangzhou enterprises were listed, securing the most spots nationwide. Among them, seven companies—including 37 Interactive Entertainment and 4399—had 56 games ranked among the top 30 nationwide.

Guangzhou's gaming industry boasts a mature and well-developed structure, with a significant industrial cluster effect. Notably, Keyun Road, known as "China's game first street," records an annual output value exceeding 50 billion yuan, serving as a key pillar of the industry's growth.
As construction progresses on the Guangzhou International Financial City, the spatial layout of Guangzhou's gaming industry is undergoing profound changes. A number of leading game companies have relocated to the area: Zhongxu Future (Tanwan Games) moved its headquarters to Huijin Center, Eworld moved from Keyun Road to Tiancai Building, and 4399 successfully secured a riverside plot in the eastern section of the Financial City, with plans to build a game headquarters featuring a gross floor area (GFA) of approximately 40,000 square meters.
Located just across the street from Keyun Road, the Financial City benefits from the industrial atmosphere and talent pool that Keyun Road has cultivated over the years. With a clear focus on the integration of the finance sector and the digital economy, Financial City is now home to over 5,000 enterprises, including more than 60 Fortune Global 500 companies. This ecosystem of capital and technology perfectly aligns with the dual needs of game companies.
