On March 22nd, the opening match of the 2026 Guangdong Esports Super League (GESL) and the Foshan Qualifier Final officially kicked off at Shunde OCT Harbour Plus, Foshan.

The event featured two major esports titles: "Honor of Kings" and "Valorant". In the Foshan Qualifier Grand Final, the "Five Kitties" team claimed the championship in "Honor of Kings", while the "Foshan Ace" team won the "Valorant" title. The champion and runner-up teams of "Honor of Kings" and the championship team of "Valorant" have successfully advanced to the GESL City Tournament, representing Foshan in the province-wide competition.

Beyond the arena, the event used "esports+" as a core driver to create a scene integrating spectating, experience, consumption, and exchange. On-site booths featuring Shunde cuisine and cultural tourism allowed the audience to immerse themselves in the charm of the "City of Gastronomy" while watching the matches.

The concurrently launched esports-themed market connected the diverse ecosystem of the esports industry. Notably, XiaoQi gaming chair, the official designated gaming chair partner for the 2026 GESL, collaborated with local enterprises in Shunde to create an esports furniture zone, showcasing gaming chairs and other esports furniture.

The event also featured a dedicated esports industry recruitment zone, gathering several top domestic esports companies such as Daily E-sports and Bilibili Gaming. They offered job positions in various fields including event operations, club management, and content creation, building a direct bridge to professional careers for young people with esports dreams.

首届电竞粤超揭幕战在佛山打响

3月22日，2026广东省首届电子竞技超级联赛（以下简称“电竞粤超”）揭幕战暨佛山站海选总决赛在佛山顺德欢乐海岸PLUS正式鸣锣开赛。

本次赛事开设《王者荣耀》《无畏契约》两大电竞项目。佛山站海选总决赛上，“五只哈基米”队摘得《王者荣耀》项目的冠军，“佛山一枝花”队夺得《无畏契约》项目的冠军。据悉，《王者荣耀》的冠、亚军队伍，《无畏契约》的冠军队伍成功晋级电竞粤超城市巡回赛，将代表佛山征战全省赛场。

赛场之外，活动以“电竞+”为核心抓手，打造集观赛、体验、消费、交流于一体的场景。现场设置的顺德美食与文旅特色展位，让观众在观赛之余沉浸式感受“世界美食之都”魅力。

同步开启的电竞特色集市，串联起电竞产业的多元生态。其中，2026电竞粤超官方指定电竞椅特约合作伙伴骁骑电竞椅，携手顺德本土特色企业打造的电竞家居专区，集中展示了电竞椅等电竞家居装备。

赛事专门设置电竞产业招聘专区，集结了天天电竞、BLG电子竞技俱乐部等多家国内头部电竞企业，带来赛事运营、俱乐部管理、内容创作等多个领域的就业岗位，为怀揣电竞梦想的年轻人搭建直通职业的桥梁。
