Embodied intelligence enters fast lane

In March 2025, "embodied intelligence" was first included in the Report on the Work of the Government, becoming a buzzword in the field of artificial intelligence. Over the past year, embodied intelligence has rapidly evolved from concept to industrial application, driven by policy support, capital investment, technological advancements, and expanding application scenarios.

At the policy level, multiple regions have identified embodied intelligence and humanoid robots as key areas for development. Cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen have released special action plans, established hundreds-of-billions-of-yuan-level industry funds, and are accelerating the deployment of core technologies and application scenarios. The capital market continues to heat up, with over a hundred related funding events in 2025. Investments have expanded from large model algorithms to critical components such as dexterous hands, joint modules, gear reducers, and force sensors, driving faster collaboration across the industrial chain.

In terms of applications, embodied intelligence is progressing from "thinking" to "acting." Industrial manufacturing has become a key testing ground, with robots now entering the final assembly shop of new energy vehicles to participate in quality inspection, component mounting, and other processes. In high-risk scenarios such as power grid inspections, chemical handling, and disaster response, quadruped and dual-arm robots are now performing routine operations. A 30% to 50% drop in the cost of core components has made humanoid robots more economically viable for factory deployment.

Guangdong has emerged as a major hub for the embodied intelligence industry. Tang Dongsheng, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, suggested establishing national pilot zones and demonstration areas in regions like the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). This would help improve the "technology—scenario—industry" ecosystem, accelerate breakthroughs in core algorithms and high-end sensors, and enhance the global competitiveness of embodied intelligence.

具身智能驶入发展快车道

2025年3月,“具身智能”首次写入政府工作报告,成为人工智能领域的热点关键词。过去一年,从政策支持到资本布局,从技术研发到场景应用,具身智能加速从概念走向产业实践。

在政策层面,多地将具身智能及人形机器人纳入重点发展方向,北京、上海、深圳等城市发布专项行动方案,设立百亿级产业基金,加快布局核心技术和应用场景。资本市场热度持续攀升,2025年相关融资事件超过百起,投资方向从大模型算法延伸至灵巧手、关节模组、减速器、力传感器等关键零部件,产业链上下游加速协同。

在应用端,具身智能正从“会想”迈向“会动”。工业制造成为重要试验场,机器人进入新能源汽车总装车间参与质检、贴装等环节;在电网巡检、化工搬运、抢险救灾等高危场景,四足机器人和双臂机器人实现常态化作业。核心部件成本下降30%至50%,让人形机器人进工厂更具经济可行性。

广东成为产业集聚高地。政协委员唐冬生建议,在粤港澳大湾区等地建设国家级先导区和示范区,完善“技术—场景—产业”生态体系,加快突破核心算法和高端传感器等关键技术,推动具身智能形成全球竞争力。
