On February 19th, 2026, a grand parade featuring dragon and lion dances and kung fu displays in Gaoming District, Foshan, burst into life on Mingguo Road with the festive beat of gongs signaling the start of the celebrations. Thirteen contingents took turns to make their entrances, as hundreds of performers paraded along the street and staged themed showcases, bringing New Year wishes up close to residents and visitors and delivering the festive vibes right to people's doorsteps.

"Touch it from head to tail, and may the new year be smooth sailing from start to finish!" As the crowd chanted this popular blessing, the close approach of the dancing dragons or lions seemed to trigger Guangdong people's strong belief in auspicious signs, sparking wave after wave of enthusiastic interaction. Tai Chi and Wing Chun, among other martial arts styles, were also on full display, radiating vigor and spirit. Even robots showed off their unique skills, dropping into a horse stance and executing spinning kicks with impressive precision.

Across the district, each town (subdistrict) marched in formations rich in local character: Hecheng Subdistrict led with an aoyu (a mythical dragon-headed fish) prop, followed by koi props to welcome the Chinese New Year; Yanghe Town presented the banner "taking the lead, succeeding in every deed"—a clever Cantonese pun nodding to its famous Zaomu Mountain; Mingcheng Town brought blessings of "bumper harvests and continuous good fortune," creatively incorporating persimmons into the displays; and Genghe Town joined in to celebrate a year of abundance and cheer one another on. Spectators also crowded around to receive sweets and locally themed cultural and creative souvenirs handed out on site by the "God of Wealth."

将“年味”送到群众“家门口”！佛山高明这场巡游太“火”了

2月19日，2026年佛山市高明区龙狮武术新春巡游在明国路上热闹“开锣”。十三个方阵轮番登场、数百名参演人员沿街巡游并开展特色节目展演，近距离向市民游客传递新春祝福，将“年味”送到群众“家门口”。

“从头摸到尾，新的一年顺风又顺水，从头顺到尾！”现场，无论是舞龙还是舞狮，一靠近观众就仿佛“触发”了广东人讲究“好意头”的开关，引发一阵又一阵的激情互动。当天，太极、咏春等武术流派齐上阵，尽显精气神！就连机器人也“身怀绝技”，扎马步、旋转飞踢等动作干净利落。

荷城以鳌鱼领头，锦鲤迎春；杨和“一马当先，皂乜都掂”；明城“五谷丰登，喜杮连连”；更合庆丰收、齐加油……全区各镇（街）的方阵颇具地域特色。观众们更争相领取“财神爷”现场派发的糖果、地方特色文创产品等。
