The second day of the Chinese New Year saw clear weather, drawing crowds of locals and tourists to experience the vibrant folk customs of Lingnan. According to estimates, on the fourth day of the 2026 Chinese New Year holiday (February 18th), Guangdong's 4A-level and above scenic spots recorded 3.831 million visits, a year-on-year increase of 5.4%.

Across Guangdong, ancestral rituals and intangible cultural heritage parades came together to paint a vibrant picture of traditional New Year customs. In Pingshan District, Shenzhen City, the "Dawan Ancestor Worship" event featured complete rituals passed down for over 200 years, including Qilin dance performances and homage rites and offerings of the three sacrificial animals (pig, chicken, and fish), drawing visitors into an immersive experience of Hakka clan culture.In Renhua County, Shaoguan City,the intangible cultural heritage incense dragon paradewound through the streets, with fire dragons made of straw and bamboo strips lit with incense, amidst deafening drums and gongs to convey hopes for favorable weather and bountiful harvests.

At the center stage of the Foshan Zumiao Museum, the Chinese New Year shows officially got underway, featuring a lineup of performances and exhibitions, including lion dances, China-chic music performances, an exhibition of the cultural relics from the Ming-era Prince of Jing, and a New Year flower show. At the Keyuan Museum in Dongguan, a Cantonese opera showcase was held on Ke Lake on the second day of the new year, where visitors immersed themselves in its refined melodies amidst the Lingnan garden scenery.

Meanwhile, cultural and museum venues, together with China-chic garden parties, also came alive with cultural splendor.At the Dongpo Memorial Hall in Huizhou, a hanfu garden party drew steady crowds. Activities such as pitch-pot games, poetry quizzes and guzheng performances invited visitors to engage with the legacy of Su Dongpo (a Song Dynasty poet) amid vermilion walls and black-tiled roofs.

On the evening of February 18th, with the sky as a curtain, the water as a stage, and the city as a backdrop, the 2026 Guangzhou Bai'etan Spring Festival Fireworks Display lit up the Lingnan New Year with a brilliant blaze of light, presenting an audiovisual feast for citizens and tourists.

大年初二天气晴朗，市民游客共同体验岭南多彩民俗。据测算，2026年春节假期第4天（18日），全省4A级及以上景区接待游客383.1万人次，同比增长5.4%。

广东各地宗族祭典与非遗巡游共绘年俗画卷。深圳市坪山区的“大万祭祖”活动，麒麟参拜、三牲献礼等200余年传承的完整仪式，吸引众多游客沉浸式体验客家宗族文化。韶关仁化县非遗香火龙沿街巡游，稻草竹篾扎制的火龙插满香火，锣鼓喧天中寄托风调雨顺的祈愿。

佛山市祖庙博物馆中心舞台春节文艺汇演正式开启，醒狮表演、国潮音乐演奏、明代荆藩珍宝展和新春花展等节目轮番上演。东莞可园博物馆大年初二在可湖举行粤剧小曲展演，游客于岭南园林中静听粤韵风华。

同时，文博场馆与国潮游园齐绽文化芳华。惠州苏东坡祠汉服主题游园会客流如织，投壶、诗词问答、古筝演奏等活动让游客在红墙黛瓦间对话苏东坡。

2月18日晚，以天为幕、以水为台、以城为景，2026年广州白鹅潭春节烟花汇演用漫天华彩点燃岭南新春，为市民、游客呈现了一场视听盛宴。
