Every year on the second day of the Chinese New Year, a brilliant fireworks display lights up the sky over Shantou and has become a beloved festive tradition across the Chaoshan region.

At 8 PM on February 18th, the highly anticipated 2026 Shantou Chinese New Year Fireworks Gala was held over the waters of Zhugang New Town, Shantou Bay.

Nearly 500,000 citizens and visitors gathered along both sides of Shantou Bay that night. Nine fireworks bargesformed an extended 1.2-kilometer firing line, with an aerial display area of over 120,000 square meters, equivalent to about 18 football fields.

Starting at 8 PM, around 100,000 fireworks shots were launched and burst into the sky one after another. During the 30-minute spectacular display, a variety of innovative designs were presented, including the latest award-winning display shells, "Blessed Cloud" tree formations, nine-tier waves, and glassy blue effects. Coupled with an aerial matrix of 10,000 drones, the event marked China's first mega-scale joint performance combining 100,000 fireworks shots with 10,000 drones.

Under the night sky, families and visitors from afar gathered to witness the dazzling display.

汕头举办国内首次10万发烟花和万架无人机联动表演

每年正月初二，一场璀璨焰火与汕头相约，已成为潮汕大地深入人心的新春约定。

18日晚8时，万众期待的“汕头市2026年迎新春大型焰火晚会”在汕头湾珠港新城海域举办。

当晚，近50万市民游客齐聚汕头湾两岸。9艘焰火船构筑起1.2公里超长燃放阵线，空中燃放区域超12万平方米，相当于约18个足球场。

晚8时开始，约10万发烟花次第升空，在半小时的火树银花中，集结了最新获奖礼花弹、七彩祥云树、九层浪、琉璃蓝等多款创意造型；1万架无人机组成的空中矩阵规模，打造出国内首次“十万发烟花+万架无人机”超大规模联动表演。

夜幕之下，阖家欢聚的市民和远道而来的游客，一同驻足仰望。
