On January 10th, as a core highlight of the 10th "Yangcheng Campus Aesthetic Education Festival," the inaugural Guangzhou Campus Cantonese Culture and Arts Exhibition and Performance concluded successfully at the Hongxiannv Grand Theater of Guangzhou Yueju Opera Theater. This is the first large-scale campus arts event themed around Cantonese culture, aiming to embed excellent traditional Chinese culture in the hearts of young people.

At the event, a vibrant fusion of tradition and modernity sparked unique creativity. Classic nursery rhymes like "Bright Moonlight" and "Heavy Rain" were revitalized through innovative arrangements, while traditional Cantonese opera excerpts were perfectly integrated with sound, lighting, and visual effects. The participation of renowned Cantonese opera artists elevated the artistic caliber of the event. National first-grade actress and Cantonese opera performing artist Guo Fengnv shared the stage with students from Gangcheng Primary School in Nansha District to present "Liang Hongyu," while Zeng Xiaomin, Chairman of Guangdong Province Iheairisi Association, performed "Ode to Lychee" alongside eight students.

Zeng Xiaomin remarked, "To build a cultural IP for Cantonese culture, we must deeply explore local historical figures, narratives, and customs, transforming these elements into content that is easy for the youth to understand and share. Through various artistic means and forms, we can tell the story of Cantonese culture more effectively, allowing more people to appreciate its charm and uniqueness."

In addition, the event featured a Cantonese Arts Exhibition, which showcased the vibrancy of intangible cultural heritage, featuring 30 works that encompassed over 20 Lingnan heritage crafts such as paper cutting, Canton Porcelain, olive stone carving, and lime sculpture. Students from Huangpu District recreated "Lingnan in a Manchuria Window" with paper cutting, while students from Panyu District presented "Grasping Wealth" through olive stone carving. Students from Tianhe District innovatively combined Cantonese embroidery with patchwork skills in their artworks.
