Looking for a nature-filled weekend getaway? Guangzhou residents may soon enjoy an immersive experience in a single trip next month!

The Baiyun District of Guangzhou is dedicated to developing a north-south core ecological corridor known as the "Green Spine of Guangzhou," featuring a forest trail spanning approximately 140 kilometers. According to the project schedule, 90% of the 74-kilometer trail upgrades, planned as a priority for 2025, have already been completed, with full opening anticipated by February 2026.

This trail features a natural mountain-and-forest setting and an age-friendly design, seamlessly connecting three major ecological hubs: Baiyun Mountain, the Nanhu Mountain Range (including Phoenix Mountain and Liupian Mountain), and Maofeng Mountain. Additionally, it also links to the Tianhe District's "Huo-Long-Feng" forest trail, creating an extensive and cohesive urban forest hiking network.

Along the trail, multiple educational signs and interactive installations showcasing local flora and fauna have been set up. Among these, the signage systems at Xunfeng Mountain and the Zhongluotan Wildlife Rescue Center will be upgraded simultaneously, allowing visitors to enjoy scenic views while learning about nature.

The trail includes gently sloped sections, viewing platforms, and resting stations, offering three distinctive routes: a parent-child educational trail, a senior-friendly walking trail, and an adventurous hiking route. Whether they are toddlers taking their first steps, elderly visitors with limited mobility, or adventurous hiking enthusiasts, everyone can find a suitable path to explore.

一线串三山！广州约140公里森林步道下月开放

想要在周末过上说走就走的“森系”生活？下个月广州市民有望“一次逛个够”！

广州市白云区正全力打造一条贯通南北的“广州绿脊”核心生态廊道——全长约140公里的森林步道。根据进度，2025年重点推进的74公里步道优化提升任务已完成90%，预计2026年2月就能全面竣工开放。

据悉，这条步道以“山林野趣、全龄友好”为特色，精准连通白云山、南湖山脉（含凤凰山、六片山）、帽峰山三大生态核心区，更能向南无缝衔接天河区“火龙凤”森林步道，形成连续完整的城市森林徒步网络。

步道沿途布置了多个动植物科普标识和互动装置，其中，浔峰山、钟落潭野生动物保护中心等节点的标识导览系统将完成同步升级，一步一景的同时还能解锁自然知识。

记者了解到，该步道专门设置了缓坡步道、观景平台和休憩驿站，形成了亲子科普径、长者康养道、徒步挑战线三类特色路线。不管是蹒跚学步的小朋友、腿脚不便的长者，还是热爱探险的徒步爱好者，都能找到适合自己的路线。
