On the morning of December 26th, the 2025 Overseas Chinese Expo and World Chaoshan Cuisine Conference opened at the Shantou International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Designed as an international grand event that integrates cultural heritage, industrial cooperation, skill exchange, and culinary experiences, the conference has attracted over 2,000 professional buyers from home and abroad. A total of 193 enterprises from more than 10 cities in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions, as well as over 10 countries including Thailand, are participating in the event. The exhibits span the entire catering industry chain, ranging from raw ingredients and prepared dishes to kitchenware.

The "Internationalized Chaoshan Chefs + Chaoshan Cuisine Going Global" initiative was also officially launched. Relying on global Chinese language schools and the Guangdong Yuedong Technician Collegeas key pillars, the initiative aims to promote Chaoshan cuisine in Chinese language schoolsand restaurants worldwide.

A variety of activities, such as Yingge feasts, AI robot cooking demonstrations, immersive Chaoshan cuisine workshops, and the culinary skill showcase featuring master chefs from home and abroad, brought Chaoshan food culture closer to visitors. Mouth-watering Chaoshan specialties such as Silao Mooncakes, Silao Tangyuan(glutinous rice balls), and fusion dishes blending overseas flavors with Chaoshan tradition delighted attendees.

From the "Two Grand Events" late last year, which invited Chaoshan compatriots from home and abroad to reunite in their hometown, to the "Qiaopi Going Global Program" tour that has reached numerous countries over the past three years; from the debut of Silao Mooncakes and other local delicacies at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Singapore, to the invitations to the Chaoshan people worldwide for a shared Chaoshan cuisine feast, each exploration made by Shantou is dedicated to transforming nostalgia into a driving force for the city's development.

2025华侨华人博览会暨世界潮汕菜大会在汕头开幕

12月26日上午，2025华侨华人博览会暨世界潮汕菜大会在汕头国际会展中心盛大开幕。

大会精心打造集文化传承、产业合作、技艺交流与美食体验于一体的国际性盛会，邀请到国内外超2000家专业采购商，其中包括广东10余个地市，港澳台地区以及泰国等超10个国家的193家企业参展，展品涵盖食材原料、预制菜、餐厨用具等餐饮全链条。

“百国潮厨＋潮菜出海”全球行动也在现场启动，将以全球华文学校与粤东技师学院为重要依托，推动潮汕菜走进全球华文学校与全球餐厅。

英歌宴、AI机器人炒菜、潮菜制作沉浸式体验、海内外厨皇名师“潮菜出海”技艺表演赛等拉近食客与潮菜的距离，四老月饼、四老汤圆、海外潮菜融合菜等“潮味”让人垂涎欲滴。

从去年年底“两大盛会”广邀海内外潮籍侨胞返乡相聚，到“侨批出海”三年走遍多国巡展，到四老月饼等特色潮味亮相中国驻新加坡大使馆，再到摆下一席潮菜喊全球潮人回家吃饭……汕头的每一次探索，都意在将乡愁的力量转化为城市发展的内生动力。
