"This is taller and more beautiful than I remembered!"

Standing in front of the Friendship Pass in Pingxiang, Guangxi, Vietnamese media professional Hoàng Minh Tân remarked. Back in 2002, as a child, he took a tourist photo here with his family. Twenty-three years later, he returned with the China-Viet Nam 2025 Media Tour delegation, documenting the enduring friendship between China and Vietnam, symbolized by the Friendship Pass itself.

The China-Viet Nam 2025 Media Tour has brought together more than twenty representatives from mainstream Vietnamese media, well-known online influencers, and historians. The group will travel through Guangdong and Guangxi, exploring shared historical memories and telling stories of China-Vietnam friendship.

For Nguyễn Hoài Đảm, an editor at Vietnam Television, choosing Friendship Pass as the tour's first stop was inspired by the very word "friendship." He noted that "friendship" represents the relationship between China and Vietnam, which has experienced ups and downs throughout history but is now a bond carefully built by the governments and by generations of people. He emphasized that the younger generation, especially young journalists, bear the responsibility of conveying this friendship to the peoples of both countries and to the international community.

The Friendship Pass not only carries the history of bilateral exchanges but also witnesses friendship in action: Chinese travelers returning with full shopping bags, Vietnamese tourists lining up to take photos, and border residents who cross every day for business, all can be seen here. With favorable policies such as visas onarrival and border travel permits implemented at the Friendship Pass Port, the China-Vietnam cross-border tourism market has been booming. In the first three quarters of 2025, the number of entries and exits at border ports in Pingxiang exceeded 3 million, a year-on-year increase of 43%.

Dr. Trương Thị Bích Hạnh, Vice Rector of the Specialized High School for Social Sciences and Humanities of Vietnam National University, noted that in the information age, Vietnamese youth have more opportunities to learn about the friendship between the two countries. She mentioned that course learning, economic and trade cooperation, as well as people-to-people exchanges, all serve as means to enhance mutual understanding. At the people-to-people level, she added, the public has a certain understanding and trust in the bilateral friendship.

The economic and trade exchanges noted by Dr. Trương align with the future cooperation of the two countriesdepicted at Friendship Pass. The China-Vietnam Friendship Pass smart port is China's first cross-border smart port, and together with the Puzhai-Tan Thanh smart port, it has been included in China-Viet Nam joint statementson four occasions, becoming a model project for high-level bilateral openness and cooperation. Once completed, the smart port is expected to double its throughput capacity to around 4,000 vehicles per day, achieving unmanned, intelligent, 24-hour customs clearance with zero waiting time.

在友谊关，看见中越友谊新高度丨中越友好采风行

“这比我印象中的更高更漂亮！”

站在广西凭祥友谊关前，越南媒体人Hoàng Minh Tân感叹道。2002年，年幼的他和家人在友谊关拍下了一张游客照。时隔23年，他随2025中越友好采风团再次到访，记录中越两国如友谊关恒久的友谊。

据悉，本次中越友好采风行活动组织了二十余名越南主流媒体代表、网络知名人士与历史学者参与，将循行广东、广西两地，发掘两国共同历史记忆，讲述中越友好故事。

在越南电视台编辑Nguyễn Hoài Đảm看来，活动首站选址友谊关，正是缘于“友谊”一词：“我认为‘友谊’代表了中越两国之间的关系，虽然在历史中有起落，但如今我们拥有的是由国家以及几代人民精心建立起来的友谊。年轻一代，尤其是年轻的记者，有责任将这份友谊传达给两国人民及国际社会。”

友谊关不只承载两国交往历史，还见证着一段段“进行时”的友谊：满载而归的中国旅客，排队打卡的越南游客，每日往返做生意的边民，在此随处可见。据介绍，在友谊关口岸落地签证、边境游通行证等利好政策推动下，中越跨境旅游市场火爆。今年前三季度，凭祥市口岸出入境人数超300万人次，同比增长43%。

“在当今信息时代，越南的年轻人有更多机会了解两国之间的友谊。”越南国家大学社会科学与人文学院附属重点高中副校长张氏碧幸博士（TS.TRƯƠNG THỊ BÍCH HẠNH）表示，“课程学习、经贸往来和人文交流都是增进理解的方式。我认为在民间交流层面，公众对两国友谊有一定的理解和信任。”

张氏碧幸博士提到的经贸往来，也是友谊关描绘的两国合作“将来时”。中越友谊关—友谊货运通道智慧口岸是全国首个跨境智慧口岸，和浦寨-新清智慧口岸先后四次写入中越联合声明，成为双边高水平开放的示范工程。智慧口岸建成后，预计通行能力将翻番，提升至4000辆/日左右，实现中越边境口岸无人化智能化24小时通关“零等待”“不打烊”。
