On October 11th, the first hiking event along Guangzhou's "most beautiful 3-kilometer riverfront" was held on the Yuejiang Road Greenway in Haizhu District. Over 1,000 citizens from various organizations in Guangzhou participated, hiking along what is known as the city's "most beautiful 3-kilometer riverfront". The organizers also invited tourists from around the world to enjoy Guangzhou's scenery during the upcoming 15th National Games, 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and 9th National Special Olympic Games.

The Yuejiang Road Greenway in Haizhu District stretches from the Canton Tower in the west to the Pazhou West Area in the east, covering about 3 kilometers. Along the riverfront lie Guangzhou's landmark attractions, dining and leisure spots, and emerging business zones. Recent urban renewal projects have added several new highlights, allowing residents and tourists to experience "new vitality in the time-honored city". From the second-floor platform of the Canton Tower, visitors can view Huacheng Square and Haixinsha Island on the north bank of the Pearl River. Looking south, they can see the Guangzhou Museum of Art, the Haizhu National Wetland Park, the Guangzhou Cultural & Arts Center, and more.

Party Pier, the third stop of the hike, is home to numerous Chinese and Western restaurants and bars, making it a popular daytime and nighttime destination for dining and leisure in Guangzhou. It is also one of the best places to photograph the city's sunset and evening glow. Beyond its riverside attractions, Party Pier tells "new stories in the time-honored city". Once the Zhujiang Brewery's old factory area, it has been transformed through urban renewal into one of South China's largest beer-culture and leisure areas. It has repeatedly been honored as Guangzhou's top dining and leisure area, loved by visitors from home and abroad.

In addition to the pedestrian walkway, the Yuejiang Road Greenway also features a tram line. Travelers can either walk or hop on the tram to enjoy the scenic views along the 3-km stretch.

广州 “最美3公里江岸”迎千人徒步，秋日江景随手拍都是大片

10月11日，“健步珠江 点亮全运—— 首届徒步广州最美江岸线活动”，在广州市海珠区阅江路碧道举行。来自广州多个单位超过1000名市民参与活动，以徒步方式打卡广州“最美3公里江岸”。活动主办方欢迎世界各地的游客朋友，在即将开幕的十五运会和残特奥会期间来广州旅游赏景。

海珠区阅江路碧道西起广州塔，东至琶洲西区，在这约3公里长的江岸上，不仅集聚了广州著名旅游景点、吃喝玩乐点、新兴商务区，还在近期的城市更新中“上新”多个节点，让市民游客体验到“老城市新活力”。广州塔二层平台可以看到珠江北岸的花城广场以及海心沙，登塔向南望去则可看到广州艺术博物院、海珠湿地、广州市文化馆等地。

琶醍作为11日徒步活动的第三站，这里云集了多间中西餐厅以及酒吧，无论白天还是夜晚均是广州吃喝玩乐“打卡点”，更是每日黄昏众多摄影爱好者打卡广州日落以及晚霞的“最佳机位”。在吃喝玩乐欣赏江景之余，琶醍自身也在述说着广州的“老城市新故事”：昔日的琶醍，曾是珠江啤酒的生产厂房。通过城市更新，已变身华南地区最大的啤酒文化休闲区，多次获得广州最佳餐饮休闲商区殊荣，深受国内外游客喜爱。

据悉，阅江路碧道除了步行道，还贯通了有轨电车道。市民游客除了通过徒步方式打卡，还可以通过搭乘有轨电车来欣赏3公里内的处处美景。
