On October 2nd, 2025, the China International Comics Festival (CICF) Animation and Game Exhibition and the Asia Game Festival (AGF) kicked off at the Poly World Trade Center Expo in Guangzhou. Tencent, the world's most valuable gaming company, along with Guangdong-based gaming giants NetEase Games, 37 Interactive Entertainment, and Seasun Games, unveiled their flagship IPs at the event. International gaming giant Ubisoft also made its debut at the expo, showcasing the latest content from its blockbuster franchises. Data show that the offline exhibitions alone are expected to draw more than 800,000 visits.

According to the 2024 Guangdong Gaming Industry Development Report, Guangdong's gaming revenue reached 260.43 billion yuan in 2024, accounting for nearly 80% of the national total. The province's overseas gaming business was particularly notable, generating 42.36 billion yuan in revenue—up 9.9% year on year. Guangdong's gaming industry demonstrated remarkable growth resilienceamid the global market's recovery.
Globally, China's gaming industry is witnessing a new wave of overseas expansion. The "2025 January–June China Gaming Industry Report" released by the Game Publishers Association Publications Committee (GPC) revealed that in the first half of 2025, overseas revenue from self-developed Chinese games reached 9.5 billion US dollars, an increase of more than 11% year on year—returning to the peak growth levels last seen in 2021. This marks a transition of China's game exports from simple product delivery to a comprehensive global approach integrating technology, content, and ecosystems.

10月2日,2025年CICF中国国际漫画节动漫游戏展与AGF亚洲游戏博览会在广州保利世贸博览馆开启。全球市值最高的游戏公司腾讯以及网易游戏、三七互娱、西山居等广东本土游戏巨头携旗下重磅IP悉数亮相,育碧(Ubisoft)等国际游戏巨头首次在此展示其王牌游戏的最新内容。仅在线下,有数据显示预计吸引参观人次将超过80万。

《2024年广东游戏产业发展报告》显示,2024年,广东省游戏营收规模达到2604.31亿元,占全国市场份额近八成。其中,游戏出海表现尤为亮眼,营收规模达423.6亿元,同比增长9.9%,在全球游戏市场回暖的背景下展现出强劲的增长韧性。

放眼全球,中国游戏产业的出海浪潮正迎来新的高峰。中国音数协游戏工委发布的《2025年1-6月中国游戏产业报告》显示,2025年上半年,中国自主研发游戏的海外收入达到95.01亿美元,同比增长超过11%,增速重回2021年的出海高峰期。这标志着中国游戏出海已经从单纯的产品输出,升级为涵盖技术、内容、生态的系统性全球化战略。
