The much-anticipated 5th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival is set to open on September 16th. This year's festival will feature more than 100 high-quality performances, 18 art exhibitions, 150 public-benefit shows, and a series of art lectures, presenting a cultural and artistic feast for all to enjoy.

As highlights of the festival, renowned Peking Opera artist Shi Yihong led performances of the Mei School classic "Farewell to My Concubine" and the Cheng School masterpiece "The Unicorn Purse" at the Foshan Grand Theatre on September 13th and 14th.

She noted that the festival brings together artists from different opera genres to exchange and watch one another's performances, which is highly meaningful. "The magic of live theater cannot be replaced. Audiences listen and experience it for real, and every artist has a unique way of singing and interpreting characters, which can be truly inspiring."

From September 11th to 14th, Russia's renowned Vakhtangov Theatre presented two classics by literary masters, "Eugene Onegin" and "Uncle Vanya," at the Bay Opera of Shenzhen. Directed by celebrated theater master Rimas Tuminas, these Russian masterpieces served as the grand finale of the Fourth International Theater Life Season and were also among the highlights of the Festival.

Nadezhkina Ekaterina, director of the Art Center at Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, said, "This tour has brought two national treasures from Russia, 'Eugene Onegin' and 'Uncle Vanya.' These remarkable performances are certain to offer Shenzhen audiences an unforgettable artistic experience and become a brilliant chapter in the city's cultural life."

人文湾区艺术氛围升温

9月16日，备受瞩目的第五届粤港澳大湾区文化艺术节即将正式开幕。本届艺术节将举办超100场精品演出、18场艺术展览、150场公益演出及系列艺术讲堂，奉上一场全民共享的文化艺术盛宴。

作为第五届粤港澳大湾区文化艺术节的精品剧目，由京剧名家史依弘领衔的梅派经典《霸王别姬》和程派名作《锁麟囊》9月13日、14日在佛山大剧院上演。

9月11日至14日，俄罗斯戏剧界的“金字招牌”——瓦赫坦戈夫剧院携两部文学巨匠的经典之作《叶甫盖尼·奥涅金》与《万尼亚舅舅》登台深圳滨海艺术中心。由戏剧巨匠里马斯·图米纳斯执导的这两台俄式巨作成为“第四届湾区国际戏剧生活季”的重磅闭幕大戏，同时也是2025粤港澳大湾区文化艺术节的亮点活动之一。

深圳北理莫斯科大学艺术中心主任叶卡捷林娜·纳杰日金娜表示：“本次巡演从俄罗斯引进了《叶甫盖尼·奥涅金》与《万尼亚舅舅》两部国宝级经典剧目，这些精彩演出必将为深圳观众带来难忘的艺术体验，成为深圳文化生活中的璀璨篇章。”
