A few days ago, Mao Ning, Spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, posted a short video on her social media platform with the caption: "88 Years After the Massacre: Nanjing remembers and rebuilds".

The video compares the appearances of different landmarks in Nanjing during the massacre period and today. Once devastated by the invading Japanese forces, Nanjing has now, after 88 years of reconstruction, restoration, and development, been revitalized with a new life.

Upon its release, the video received comments from around the world.
