The 2025 Southern China Book Fair will be held from August 15th to 19th at Area B of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. This year's edition features a stronger international focus, with a dedicated International Cultural Hall serving both as a feast for readers to explore new global titles and publishing trends, and as a key platform for copyright collaboration among publishers. Leveraging the region's geographic advantages, the festival aims to build a cultural bridge between China and the world.

The international exhibition area includes national pavilions such as the Vietnam Pavilion and the European Cultural Pavilion, as well as an International Brand Publishing Pavilion (covering Europe, the United States, Japan, South Korea, art books, and minor language areas) and an International Picture Book Pavilion. Separate pavilions will also be set up for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan. Special sections like "China's Influence" and "Global Bestseller List" will be featured, bringing together more than 20,000 newly released bestsellers and classic original editions from over 1,000 publishers worldwide. Among them, nearly 2,000 titles, including 2025 new releases and collector's editions, will make their debut in the Chinese mainland.

Works by well-known Hong Kong writers are among the highlights. Xi Xi's collection "Uncommon Lives, Uncommon Deeds" will be launched, featuring 19 previously unpublished and revised pieces. Liu Yichang's long out-of-print novel "The Actor" will be reprinted. "Clouds Drifting to Hong Kong" portrays the life experiences of immigrant mothers in the city. Other locally themed publications such as "Exploring Hong Kong Railways" will shed light on the city's development.

Hong Kong pop singer Deng Ziqi will debut the traditional Chinese edition of her first sci-fi novel "The Path of Revelation". The deluxe edition is set to launch on August 17th. The book previously set a record with 180,000 copies sold on its release day.

南国书香节8月启幕！超2万种国际畅销书和香港佳作汇集

8月15日至19日，南国书香节将在广州中国进出口商品交易会展馆B区举办。本届书香节强化国际化，设国际文化厅，既是读者饱览全球新书、把握出版趋势的盛宴，也是出版机构版权合作的重要平台，依托区位优势架起中外文化桥梁。

国际展区除越南馆、欧洲文化馆等国家馆，还设国际品牌出版馆（含欧美、日韩、艺术、小语种区）和国际绘本馆，港澳台均设独立展馆。展区设“中国影响力”“全球畅销书榜单”等特色专题，汇集全球逾1000家出版社的2万余种最新畅销书及经典原版书，其中2025年新书和珍藏本近2000种，多为内地首次亮相。

香港文学大家作品成亮点：西西作品集《异人异行》首推，收录19篇未出版及修订作品；刘以鬯绝版多年的《演戏的人》重印；《飘到香江的云》展现港漂妈妈经历。另有《香港铁路探索》等本土特色出版物，还原城市发展脉络。

香港歌手邓紫棋首部科幻爱情小说《启示路》中文繁体版将登场，其精装恒藏版拟于17日首发，该书曾创首日狂销18万册纪录。
