June 21st marks the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, and on this day, Shantou's Nan'ao Island will witness a stunning moment.

At Qing'ao Bay, the iconic "Gate of Nature" monument, positioned precisely on the Tropic of Cancer, creates a remarkable play of light and shadow, showcasing the perfect fusion of nature and human ingenuity. At solar noon each Summer Solstice, sunlight strikes the Tropic of Cancer directly, the shadow passing through the central tube of the spherical structure above to land exactly at the center of the platform, achieving "a vertical pole casting no shadow" effect.

As a result, many locals and tourists flock to Nan'ao on this day to "check in" at the Gate of Nature, exploringthe Summer Solstice's exclusive romance and discovering the enchanting charm between mountains and the sea.

6月21日是夏至日，在这个一年中白昼最长的日子里，汕头南澳岛将迎来绝美时刻。

在青澳湾，矗立于北回归线上的标志性建筑“自然之门”，以独特的光影奇观，展现大自然与人类智慧的完美交融。每年夏至正午，太阳光直射北回归线，日影将穿过上方圆球中心圆管，投射地台中央，达到“立竿不见影”的效果。

因此，不少市民游客选择在夏至日“打卡”南澳的自然之门，解锁夏至日的限定浪漫，邂逅山海之间的奇妙魅力。
