TikTok was banned, and TikTok is back.

On January 19th, before the U.S. ban officially took effect, TikTok shut down its operations in the U.S. However, just hours later, TikTok restored its service—though only temporarily safe.

The future of TikTok remains uncertain, but one thing is for sure:

Many "TikTok refugees" have found a home on the Chinese social app Xiaohongshu. At first, they might have been looking for a TikTok 2.0, but the exchange and collision of different cultures have given rise to many touching stories.
