The Spring Festival holiday has just ended, and the industrial parks in the Pearl River Delta are once again bustling. As of February 10th, more than 16 million migrant workers have returned to Guangdong, accounting for 82.9% of the total number of people who went home before the holiday, a 0.7 percentage point increase compared to last year. Over 90% of enterprises in Guangdong have been detected to resume operations.
Da Wei, from Hechi, Guangxi, brought his wife and son to Guangzhou East Railway Station after the holiday to attend the New Year job fair. Within half an hour, he received interview invitations from three companies. He said the government provided chartered buses and covered travel expenses. The government also helped connect him with job opportunities, making it both hassle-free and cost-effective.
The period around the Spring Festival is a peak time for labor demand in Guangdong. The province made early preparations to guide migrant workers back to their jobs. The local human resources and social security departments coordinated with transportation and railway departments, planning to run over 20 special trains for workers returning to their posts after the holiday. So far, 19 special trains have been operated, along with more than 100 chartered bus trips, transporting over 12,000 people back to Guangdong for work.
Meanwhile, various regions in Guangdong have implemented practical measures. Guangzhou offers an 800-yuan round-trip transportation subsidy to individuals from collaborative poverty-alleviation areas who come to Guangzhou for employment. Zhongshan provides subsidies for companies that charter buses to transport employees across provinces and cities. Yunfu offers subsidies to migrant workers from other provinces who return to their jobs independently.
To address the labor demand peak, Guangdong plans to organize over 2,000 recruitment events both online and offline, having already held more than 700. Guangdong companies have also proactively traveled to Guizhou and Guangxi to host recruitment events. Positions such as skilled jobs and those suitable for parents have become effective strategies for attracting talent.
According to data, from the post-holiday period to February 10th, the overall job vacancy ratio in the labor market across the province was above 1.08. The average number of recruitment plans by companies in February increased by 14.6% year-on-year and by 85.1% month-on-month. The wage levels for general workers remained stable compared to the previous year.
Going forward, human resources and social security departments across the province will fully focus on achieving the annual target of adding over 1.1 million new urban jobs and maintaining the urban surveyed unemployment rate of around 5.5%. These efforts aim to stabilize employment and vitalize the economy.

活力广东 | 逾1600万人入粤返岗 超九成企业开工复产
春节假期刚过,珠江三角洲产业园区重现繁忙。截至2月10日,外省务工人员入粤返岗超1600万人,占节前返乡总量82.9%,同比提高0.7个百分点,全省监测企业开工比例超九成。
来自广西河池的大韦节后带着妻儿到广州东站,参加广场新春招聘会,半小时就收到3家企业面试通知。他说,政府包车包路费,还帮忙对接工作,省心又省钱。
春节前后是广东用工高峰期,广东省提前部署引导务工人员返岗。全省人社部门协调交通和铁路部门,节后计划开行返岗专列超20趟。目前已累计开行返岗专列19趟、包车100多班次,运送超1.2万人入粤返岗。
同时,广东各地出台实招。广州对来穗就业的协作地区脱贫人口给予800元往返交通定额补助;中山对企业跨省市接送员工的包车费用给予补贴;云浮对外省务工人员自行返岗的给予补贴。
为应对用工高峰,广东省将组织线上线下招聘活动2000场以上,已举办超700场。粤企还主动前往贵州、广西举办招聘活动。技能岗、妈妈岗等成揽才妙招。
数据显示,节后至2月10日,全省人力资源市场总体求人倍率在1.08以上,企业2月平均计划招聘人数同比增长14.6%,环比增长85.1%,普工招聘工资水平同比稳定。
接下来,全省人社部门将全力完成全年城镇新增就业110万人以上,城镇调查失业率运行在5.5%左右的目标任务,助力实现就业稳、经济活。
