On December 2nd, the 2024 Understanding China Conference officially kicked off in Guangzhou. That day, over 600 guests from more than 30 countries and regions arrived in Guangzhou to participate in this large-scale international event. This year marks the eighth edition of the conference and the fifth time it has been held in Guangzhou. What highlights will "Xiaolin Comics" present during the conference? This year's conference is themed "Here is Guangzhou," and it has organized the "Understanding Guangzhou" Xiaolin Collaborative Comic Exhibition, which uses comics to showcase Guangzhou's beautiful scenery, cultural heritage, and lively atmosphere.

"A curve of green river, lychees red on both banks. This is Guangzhou." "If you're feeling restless or anxious, all you need is a bowl of herbal tea. This is Guangzhou." "Every spring, there's a blooming kapok tree that will leave you in awe as you pass by. This is Guangzhou." The Xiaolin Comics Exhibition attracted many guests, becoming a popular "photo spot" at the conference venue.

This year's conference features a rich agenda, with nearly 30 forums, speeches, and supporting events taking place over the course of three days. On the 3rd, the conference will hold its opening ceremony and keynote speeches. Over the next two days, a series of themed forums, parallel seminars, closed-door discussions, and "Understanding Guangzhou" related activities will take place. Guests from both China and abroad will come together in Guangzhou to "understand China."

“小林漫画”遇上“读懂中国”

12月2日，广州正式进入2024年“读懂中国”国际会议时间。当天，来自30多个国家和地区的600余位嘉宾陆续抵达广州，参加这场大型国际性会议。今年是第八届“读懂中国”国际会议，也是第五次在广州召开。当“小林漫画”遇上“读懂中国”，会擦出什么火花？今年大会以“这里是广州”为主题，策划举办“读懂广州”·小林联名漫画展，以漫画形式展现广州城市美景、人文风貌、烟火气息。

“一弯江水绿，两岸荔枝红。这里是广州。”“如果你烦躁焦虑，只需要一碗凉茶。这里是广州。”“每一个春天，都有一棵盛开的木棉，能让你路过惊艳。这里是广州。”……小林漫画展吸引了不少嘉宾驻足，成为会场里的热门“打卡点”。

今年“读懂中国”国际会议（广州）议程丰富，三天将有近30场论坛、演讲及配套活动在广州展开。3日，大会将举办开幕式及主旨演讲。接下来两天内，多场专题论坛、平行研讨会、闭门研讨会以及“读懂广州”配套活动将陆续开启。海内外嘉宾将在广州一起“读懂中国”。
