Xiaohua, a hairstylist in Huaihua, Hunan Province, has recently become an internet sensation. Known as the "stylist who really understands your needs", Xiaohua has attracted over 3.3 million followers on her social media platforms.

Since her rise to online fame, Xiaohua's salon in Changnipo Village, has turned into a popular check-in spot. Getting a haircut from Xiaohua has become a trending topic online.

Leveraging the online buzz, Huaihua organized local live-streaming teams to promote consumption, generating over 20 million yuan in on-site sales and boosting city-wide spending by 120 million yuan. Xiaohua's popularity has truly brought prosperity to her hometown.

Thanks to these efforts, over 60 specialty shops, including eateries, handicrafts, and cultural souvenir stores, have opened in the village, revitalizing commercial activity in Changnipo Village and its surroundings. The "internet celebrity" effect has drawn waves of tourists and consumers.

Xiaohua, who has been cutting hair in this community for 11 years, is known locally for her "skilled hands, fair prices, and friendly service". Customers say she has an intuitive understanding of the hairstyles they want.

In some parts of China, especially big cities, haircuts can be costly, and communication with stylists is often challenging, with many salons pushing prepaid packages and membership cards. Xiaohua's affordable prices and her knack for understanding her clients' needs have endeared her to many, leading to her unexpected fame.

In fact, there are many stylists like Xiaohua across China. She just happens to be one of the lucky ones "discovered" by the internet and went viral.

人物丨“发型师晓华”走红,拉动当地1.2亿元消费

中国湖南怀化市的一位名叫晓华的发型师最近走红网络。被称赞为“能听得懂话”的发型师晓华,其网络平台粉丝已超330万。

在网络迅速走红后,晓华理发店所在地——湖南省怀化市鹤城区城南街道长泥坡村变成注明的打卡地,找晓华剪头发也成为网络热门话题。

在网络效应的带动下,湖南省怀化市组织当地直播团队,全力促进消费,拉动现场消费超2000万元,拉动全市消费1.2亿元。真正做到一个人带火一座城。

通过当地的积极引导,如今已有60余家特色店铺在这个村安家落户,涵盖了美食、手工艺品、民俗纪念品等,这些特色店铺点亮了长泥坡村及周边的商业活力。网红效应的加持,吸引了大量游客和消费者。

在中国的一些地方,特别是大城市,理发的成本很高,除了价格高,还有很多发型师不能理解顾客需要怎样的发型,一些连锁理发店还会向顾客推荐各种预付款或办卡的服务,很多顾客对此感到厌烦。因此,晓华这种能听懂顾客要求,价格便宜的发型师才能突然走红。

其实,在中国,还有很多像晓华一样的发型师。晓华成为了那一个被网络“发现”并走红的幸运儿。
