The 136th Canton Fair concluded in Guangzhou on November 4th, and the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) opened in Shanghai on November 5th, realizing a seamless transition between the two national-level exhibitions. This year's CIIE welcomes 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions, with the number of both country (or region) and enterprise participation surpassing previous years. A record-breaking 297companies in theFortune Global 500 list and industryleaders are participating in the CIIE.
A total of 186 enterprises and organizations, including Shiseido, have participated in every CIIE. Shiseido's Executive Officer and CEO, Masahiko Uotani, emphasized how the CIIE provides a gateway and a platform for entering the Chinese market and sharing opportunities.
Germany's Carl Zeiss AG, also a seven-year regular, highlighted the strategic importance of China in maintaining its global leadership. President and CEO of Zeiss Greater China, Maximilian Foerst, noted that "Zeiss opened its first Chinese factory in Guangzhou in 1998, marking the start of its localized strategy. Zeiss now employs around 7,000 people in China, with major operations in the Yangtze River Delta and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Zeiss's largest global Center of Excellence was also established this year in Dongguan, Guangdong."
Now in its seventh year, the CIIE will continue to serve as a global debut venue for new products, cutting-edge technologies, and innovative services, with over 400 new products and technologies being showcased.

Shirley Xue, General Manager North East Asia of Beiersdorf, expressed that "the CIIE, as a key window for China's high-level opening up to the outside world, offers a premier platform for foreign-funded corporations like Beiersdorf to showcase innovations and strengthen local partnerships. At the same time, the 'spillover effect' of the CIIE provides valuable opportunities for our localized development and cooperation."
This year, Beiersdorf will unveil new global-first technologies, including the Stability Automation Robot (StAR) for fully automated formula stability testing and new AI wrinkle detection technology, as well as debuting brands like Chantecaille and La Prairie, and Hansaplast at the CIIE.
This year, the technical equipment exhibition zone spotlights themes including technology, industry, and environmental protection. Companies like Yamaha Motor, Nippon Paint, Michelin, and General Electric will showcase "China-first," "global-first," and "Asia-first" products and technologies, underscoring the significance of the CIIE for international companies.
Honeywell, set up in the technical equipment zone, will present over 100 innovative technologies, products, and solutions, marking a new record for Honeywell's CIIE presence, with several products debuting in China.
"Honeywell has a broad technology portfolio across multiple industries, and unlike other exhibitions, the CIIE provides a unique platform to showcase our technologies comprehensively. It's a chance to communicate with diverse customers and partners across different sectors so that they can know more about our technologies and solutions comprehensively," said Yu Feng, President of Honeywell China.

接棒广交会,第七届进博会今日开幕
11月4日,第136届广交会在广州落下帷幕,“国家级”会展矩阵无缝衔接——11月5日,第七届中国国际进口博览会(以下简称“进博会”)在上海拉开帷幕。本届进博会共有129个国家和地区的3496家展商参加,国别(地区)数和企业数均超上届。参展世界500强和行业龙头企业达297家,创历史新高。
186家企业和机构成为进博会七届“全勤生”。资生堂集团作为七年“全勤生”,其董事长兼CEO鱼谷雅彦表示,世界以进博会为窗口看见中国市场新机遇,也以进博会为平台共享中国大市场。
同样的“全勤生”还有来自德国的蔡司。“如果要继续保持全球领导地位,就必须立足中国。”
蔡司大中华区总裁兼首席执行官福斯特表示,1998年蔡司在华的首家工厂于广州投产,自此开启了在中国的本土化战略。“在中国我们拥有约7000名员工,在长三角和大湾区两个主要经济中心拥有强大的业务布局,其中,蔡司在华最大规模质量卓越中心也于今年在广东东莞落成。”
迈向第七年,本届进博会将持续打造全球新品首发地、前沿技术首选地、创新服务首推地,展示400多项代表性新产品新技术新服务。

她透露,本次参展他们将带来数字化领域的Stability Automation Robot(StAR)配方稳定性测试全自动智能系统和全新AI皱纹识别技术等全球首发新技术,还将带来香缇卡、莱珀妮、汉莎等品牌的进博首秀。
值得注意的是,今年进博会技术装备展区聚焦科技、工业、环保三大主题。雅马哈发动机公司、立邦、米其林、通用电气能源等企业将分别带来“中国首发”“全球首发”“亚洲首发”展品以及“亚洲首展”前沿技术,一件件新展品、一项项“黑科技”,凸显海外企业对进博会的重视。
在技术装备区设展的霍尼韦尔将展出100余项创新技术、产品和解决方案,展品数量将刷新霍尼韦尔参展以来的纪录,其中包括多项中国首秀产品。
