According to the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China, self-drive trips are expected to account for over 80% of travel during this year's National Day holiday, with a staggering 1.52 billion trips, marking a real "golden week on wheels."

On October 7th, the global self-drive platform Zuzuche released its 2024 National Day Global Self-Drive Travel Report (hereinafter referred to as "the Report"). The Report shows that both domestic and international self-drive trips have reached new highs in recent years during the National Day holiday, with Shenzhen and Guangzhou ranking among the top five domestic destinations. Additionally, Guangzhou follows Beijing and Shanghai in outbound self-drive trip volume, placing it in the top three.

The Report highlights that travelers are opting for longer trips and covering greater distances, with the duration of domestic and outbound self-drive tours increasing by 8.8% and 11%, respectively, compared to last year. Popular domestic destinations during the holiday week include Chengdu, Urumqi, shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Lanzhou, shanghai, Beijing, and Hulunbuir.

Interestingly, many travelers are choosing "reverse deep self-drive tours," starting their journeys in less popular cities and ending in major destinations. This trend helps avoid traffic congestion while allowing for a more immersive experience in local areas. Destinations favored for reverse deep travel include Karamay, turpan, altay, Yantai, Zhangye, Jiayuguan, Luoyang, Huzhou, Handan, and Lingshui.

During this National Day holiday, all 34 provinces, Autonomous regions, municipalities, And special administrative regions saw varying degrees of growth in outbound self-drive travelers compared to 2023. Beijing, shanghai, And Guangzhou led the way in total outbound self-drive volume. Compared to 2019, outbound self-drive travel has increasingly concentrated in regions with high recovery rates for international direct flights, with the share of travelers from Beijing, shanghai, And Guangdong rising from 54% to 64%.

The Report also lists the top 10 outbound self-drive destinations, which include the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Norway, spain, turkey, thailand, France, And the United Kingdom.

Many of the top 20 most popular self-drive cities during this National Day holiday have not only recovered but surpassed 2019 levels, with some cities experiencing growth of more than sixfold. In addition to traditional hotspots, emerging destinations like Reykjavik, Zagreb, mallorca, riyadh, tbilisi, And the Faroe Islands have seen notable increases in daily visitor numbers, with growth rates of 92.96%, 175%, 111%, 236%, 173%, And 669%, Respectively.

Outbound self-drive travel has long been a favored mode for independent travelers. Since the resumption of outbound travel in 2023, "premium self-drive tours" have rapidly gained popularity.

The Report reveals that group-based outbound self-drive tours hit an all-time high during this year's National Day holiday, with a 400% increase compared to last year. Among these, premium self-drive tours have become particularly popular. Travelers are favoring mature destinations such as Iceland, Italy, New Zealand, spain, And Thailand, with trip durations typically lasting five to seven days.

15.26亿人次！国庆长假国内外自驾游创近年新高

交通运输部数据显示，预计今年国庆期间自驾出行的比例将超过80%，达15.26亿人次，“车轮上的黄金周”已然成为现实。

10月7日，全球自驾游平台租租车发布《2024“十一”假期全球自驾游报告》（以下简称“报告”）。报告显示，国庆期间国内外自驾游分别创下近年新高，深圳、广州跻身国内热门目的地前五。此外，广州紧随北京、上海之后，位列出境自驾游总量前三。

报告显示，今年国庆假期游玩天数更长、出行距离更远，国内及出境自驾游时间分别同比增长8.8%、11%。综观整个黄金周，热门国内目的地城市有成都、乌鲁木齐、深圳、广州、杭州、西安、兰州、上海、北京、呼伦贝尔。

从相对冷门的城市开启旅程，再到热门城市结束——一个有趣的现象是，今年国庆长假，有许多自驾游客选择反向深度自驾旅游，一方面规避拥堵，另一方面可深度游玩当地。此类反向深度自驾目的地有克拉玛依、吐鲁番、阿勒泰、烟台、张掖、嘉峪关、洛阳、湖州、邯郸、陵水等。

今年国庆期间，34个省、自治区、直辖市、特别行政区出境自驾游客量同比2023年皆有不同程度增长。从出境自驾游总量来看，北京、上海、广州位列前三。相较2019年，当前出境自驾游客依然朝国际直航航线恢复率高的头部省市聚拢，按订单计算，北京、上海以及广东省出境自驾游客的份额占比从54%提升至64%。

根据报告，国庆十大出境热门目的地国家包括：美国、新西兰、澳大利亚、意大利、挪威、西班牙、土耳其、泰国、法国、英国。

据悉，国庆TOP20自驾游热门城市中，多数已恢复并超过2019年水平，其中部分城市增幅超6倍。除传统热门目的地外，部分新兴热门目的地表现亮眼，如雷克雅未克、萨格勒布、马洛卡、利雅得、第比利斯、法罗群岛，日均游客量分别增长92.96%、175%、111%、236%、173%、669%。

长久以来，出境自驾游都是散客出行的核心方式。而自2023年出境游恢复后，越来越多的精致自驾团开始迅速发展。

报告显示，今年国庆期间，组团出境自驾创下历史新高，同比去年国庆增长400%，其中精致自驾团炙手可热。从目的地看，国人更倾向于冰岛、意大利、新西兰、西班牙、泰国等成熟目的地国，游玩时间在5-7天左右。
