On the morning of September 25th, the 2024 Food2China Expo (Guangzhou) opened in Area B of the Canton Fair Complex. Spanning an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, the organizers have set up five main exhibition zones: the imported food pavilion, the brand food pavilion, the integrated food pavilion, the premium fruits and vegetables pavilion, and the fisheries and aquatic products pavilion. Nearly 2,000 brand exhibitors from over 40 countries and regions are showcasing their products.
"Building on Guangzhou's rich commercial heritage as a millennium-old trade hub, we aim to create a premier food and beverage exhibition in South China, using the platform to foster cooperation and partnerships," said Yang Yong, director of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangzhou Committee (China Chamber of International Commerce Guangzhou Chamber of Commerce ), at the expo's opening ceremony. Since moving to Guangzhou in 2023, the Food2China Expo has emerged as the leading professional exhibition for the food and beverage industry in South China. This year's event has expanded significantly, highlighted by three key features: more participating exhibitors, more out-of-town businesses, and a wider variety of products.
By 10:00 AM, the expo was already bustling with crowds. Exhibitors enthusiastically presented their products at various booths, while visitors weaved through the pavilions. International delegations from countries like Italy, Chile, and Australia have also participated, bringing a wide array of exotic foods and beverages.
The Italian delegation displayed its premium pasta, olive oil, and wines. Turkey presented a curated selection of local brands, covering nuts, dried fruits, confections, health foods, baby food, seasonings, and fresh produce. Argentine yerba mate tea, Polish meat producers, Chilean national pisco, and Singaporean snack foods also attracted countless visitors, becoming top spots for exploration.
First-time exhibitor Abby Lew from Singapore shared her excitement about the business opportunities at the expo. "We've brought coconut-related specialty products that have not yet entered the Chinese market. Through this exhibition, we hope to gauge the market's response and explore entry opportunities."
At the Turkish booth, many attendees stopped to inquire about products. Ahmet ÖZER, Vice President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ICOC), stated that the expo offers a unique opportunity for Turkish companies looking to enter the Chinese market. Moving forward, the ICOC plans to organize more Turkish enterprises to participate, with hopes of becoming the largest exhibitor group outside of China.
The expo will run until September 27th. In addition to the diverse booths, attendees can participate in over 20 forums and events to discuss new trends and challenges in the industry. Business matchmaking and cooperation sessions will also be held to strengthen the upstream and downstream links in the food supply chain. Furthermore, the Food2China Expo (Guangzhou) and National TOP Channel Sourcing Conference will facilitate connections between exhibitors and buyers, featuring over 30 leading private domain channel operators, including community group buying, social e-commerce, and influencers on platforms like Douyin and Kuaishou.

2024中食展在穗开幕,国内外展商云集谋合作
9月25日上午,2024中食展在广交会展馆B区开幕。在6万平方米的展区内,主办方特设“进口食品馆”“品牌食品馆”“综合食品馆”“精品果蔬馆”“渔业及水产品馆”五大展区,来自全球40多个国家及地区近2000家品牌展商悉数亮相。
“厚植广州千年商都商贸底蕴,我们希望以展搭台、以食为媒,共同打造华南地区食饮行业‘第一展’。”2024中食展开幕式上,广州市贸促会(广州国际商会)主任杨勇介绍,自2023年移师广州后,中食展已成为华南地区首屈一指的综合食品与饮料行业专业展览会。本届展会规模再升级,呈现“三个多”的特点,即参展展团多、外地参展企业多、展品品类多。
记者上午10时在现场看到,开展不久,现场就已熙熙攘攘,人潮涌动。参展商热情洋溢地在展位前介绍着产品,观众们穿梭在各个展位之间。此外,本届中食展吸引了来自意大利、智利、澳大利亚等众多国际展团组团参展。各国带来了独具异域特色的食品和饮品。
意大利展团展示了其高端意面、橄榄油和葡萄酒等经典产品。土耳其精心挑选了一系列本土品牌涵盖坚果、干果、糖果等休闲食品,以及健康食品、婴儿食品、调味品及新鲜水果等。阿根廷国茶马黛茶、波兰的肉类大厂、智利国酒皮斯科、新加坡的休闲食品等,展位上丰富多样的产品吸引了无数观众驻足,成为了最具“流量”的打卡地。
来自新加坡的参展商Abby Lew第一次参加中食展。在她看来,中食展中蕴含着非常多的商机。“这次我们带来了椰子相关的特色产品,这些产品还没有进入中国市场。通过此次展览,我们想观察一下中国市场对产品的反应,寻找进入中国市场的机会。”
在土耳其展位上,不少客商驻足咨询。土耳其伊斯坦布尔商会副会长 Ahmet ÖZER 表示,中食展为想要进入中国市场的土耳其公司提供了一个独特的机会。未来,伊斯坦布尔商会将大力组织土耳其企业参展,期待成为除中国之外的最大参展国。
据悉,中食展持续至9月27日。除了琳琅满目的展位,与会者还可以通过展会同期举办的20余场论坛及活动,从多个维度与行业同仁探讨新趋势和新挑战。展会期间,还将举行一系列商务洽谈和合作对接活动,积极推动产业链上下游的紧密合作;举行中食展®广州暨全国TOP渠道选品会,通过30多家私域头部渠道商,包括社区团购、社交电商、抖快视频号达人等,助力新渠道买家及展商实现高效对接。
