On August 1^st, the Canton Orchid Garden kicks off its "Time Gathering" month. "Weaving together past, present, and future moments, interlaced with familial, friendly, and romantic emotions, this event will link different stages of life—youth, middle age, and old age together, enabling citizens to slowly experience and savor the passage of time," said Wang Bo, Director of the People's Park Management Center.

Unveiling the beauty of traditional stamps and matchbox labels

On August 1st, the stamps and matchbox labels exhibition themed "Imprints of Time: Mail Your Memories" was launched at Orchid Garden's National Fragrance Hall . 

In the past, people referred to the images on matchbox covers as "fire marks," and stamps as "mail marks." This exhibition allows visitors to explore these two kinds of marks that bear the imprints of time, and to appreciate the beauty captured within such tiny images. The exhibition is divided into three main sections: "Elegant Orchids," "Ancient Charm," and "Brilliant Pearls," featuring matchbox labels, stamps, postal mini-sheets, and postcards themed around orchids, birds, flowers, relevant poetry and paintings, and China's Four Great Classical Novels.

Among the exhibits is a particularly rare item: a postal mini-sheet featuring China's first set of diamond-shaped, irregular stamps—the "Paphiopedilum " series. This set is known for its unique design, novel arrangement, and realistic depiction; the mini-sheet's design is both refined and elegant, with descriptions attached to the side paper, combining both educational and aesthetic value.

"The stamps and matchbox labels exhibition was particularly impressive," said Mr. Xu, a visitor, who was significantly moved by the profound impact of time unveiled by the exhibition. "The 'Time Gathering' event is very meaningful. It not only showcases the charm and natural beauty of Lingnan gardens but also adds a touch of humanistic care."

Starting a dialogue with the future

A themed activity zone integrating Time Post Office, Postal Café, and postal creative products, known as "Time Mail", was set up at the Canton Orchid Garden. At the event, many visitors put down their wishes on postcards and dropped them into the time mailboxes as time mails, creating beautiful surprises for themselves or their loved ones in the future, bridging the present and the future.

With vintage rickshaws, bouquet-wrapped postal mailboxes, and the charming Orchid Garden IP "Orchid Cat" among the new photo spots, the "Time Travel" atmosphere and nostalgic feelings were significantly enriched. Many visitors captured these delightful moments with photos.

Wang Bo added, the "Time Gathering" will run until August 31^st. During this period, the garden's closing time will be extended from 6 PM to 7 PM. "We've also added elegant and classic ceramics and mahogany tables and chairs, along with fans, free mosquito repellents, anti-mosquito stickers, and small first-aid kits, so that visitors can comfortably engage in deep conversations with the past, warmly greet the present, and enthusiastically embrace the future."

广州兰圃“时光雅集”活动月正式启程

8月1日，广州兰圃“时光雅集”活动月正式启程。“此次雅集以过去、现在、未来三重时光为经，以亲情、友情、爱情三种情感为纬，将串联起少年、中年、老年三个人生的不同阶段，陪伴市民朋友慢慢感受、享受时光。”人民公园管理中心主任汪波说道。

解锁传统邮票火花的方寸之美

8月1日，兰圃国香馆“岁月印记 邮你回忆”传统邮票火花展开幕。

过去人们将火柴盒上贴的画片称为“火花”，邮票则称为“邮花”。此次展览中，市民可浏览这对承载岁月印记的“姊妹花”，细细品味方寸间的时光之美。展览共分为“兰之猗猗”“古韵飘香”“璀璨明珠”三大篇章，汇集了以兰花荟萃、名鸟诗画、古诗名花、四大名著等为题材的火花、邮票、邮资小型张和邮资图画明信片。

其中，一张邮资小型张尤为珍贵：这份小型张上贴着我国发行的第一套菱形设计异形邮票——“兜兰”特种邮票。这套邮票设计独特，排列新颖，以写实手法描绘；小全张设计淡雅清秀，边纸附有科普文字说明，集知识性和欣赏性于一身。

“邮票火花展让人印象尤为深刻。”市民徐先生观展后惊喜地表示，他真切地感受到了时光流逝所带来的震撼，“时光雅集的活动很有意义，不但展示了岭南园林的风采与自然之美，还带有人文关怀的色彩。”

开启与未来的时空对话

广州兰圃路亭设置了以“时光邮局+邮政咖啡+邮政文创”的跨界融合为特色的“时光漫邮”主题活动区。活动现场，不少市民游客将心愿记录在邮资明信片上，以时光信件的形式投递到时光邮筒中，给未来的自己或者亲朋好友送去一份美丽惊喜，实现未来与此刻的“漫邮”。

富有年代感的黄包车、缠绕花束的邮政邮筒、憨态可掬的兰圃IP“兰喵”……园区新增的趣味拍照打卡点一键拉满了“时光漫游”的氛围与人们的怀旧情怀，不少市民游客拍照定格美好风景。

汪波介绍道，“时光雅集”活动将持续至8月31日，期间兰圃闭园时间从18时延长至19时：“园区还增添了多张典雅古朴的陶瓷和桃花心木桌椅，同时增设风扇、免费驱蚊水与防蚊贴、小药箱等，以便市民游客能更从容地与过去深情对话、与现在温暖握手、与未来热情拥抱。”
