Export of Guangdong NEVs sees continuous growth

Currently, the automobile industry is undergoing a rapid transformation towards new energy vehicles, with the trends of intelligent, electrified, and globalized passenger cars becoming increasingly important. The export of Chinese new energy vehicles is showing a significant acceleration.

Port trains providing a new gateway

Behind the accelerated trend of "going global" of domestically produced automobiles lies the strong support of the logistics supply chain. Guangzhou Nansha Automobile Port, located in the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is one of the largest automobile Roll-on/Roll-off (Ro Ro) terminal clusters in China, boasting 7 Ro Ro berths with a capacity of over 10,000 metric tons, a 1.8-kilometer waterfront, and nearly 1.6 million square meters of storage yards for commercial vehicles.

"At present, Nansha Automobile Port has 7 international shipping routes for automobile exports opened, covering various countries in the Middle East, Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia. It has attracted over ten automobile brands, including Chevrolet, Changan, and Chery, to export from Nansha," said Lu Chunrong, Manager of Nansha Automobile Port's Business Expansion Department. To facilitate the smooth passage of domestically produced vehicles, Nansha Automobile Port plans to add more ferry services to Hong Kong and Macao, as well as international transhipment services, thereby promoting the export of domestic new energy vehicles from Nansha.

In addition to the supporting services for automobile exports at Nansha Automobile Port, the Guangzhou International Port of China-Europe Railway Express in northern Guangzhou have also started to undertake automobile export business in recent years to meet the demands of companies. Currently, the train routes from this station have connected more than 40 cities in over 20 countries and regions in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, West Asia, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia, providing new trade channels for Chinese automobiles exported to countries related to the "Belt and Road" initiative.

New energy vehicles going global

On December 29th, 2023, BYD's Mexican subsidiary delivered the first batch of 20 electric buses to the Department of Transportation of Mexico City, which have been put into operation. This cooperation involves a total of 55 pure electric buses, representing the largest number of electric buses ever delivered by BYD's Mexican subsidiary in a single transaction.

Looking back at 2023, BYD's annual sales exceeded the target of 3 million vehicles set at the beginning of the year, securing its position as the global sales champion in new energy vehicles. Specifically, the export volume reached 242,765 units, marking a year-on-year growth of 334.2%. As a Guangdong-based company with global influence, BYD's new energy vehicles have already been sold to over 70 countries and regions on six continents, encompassing over 400 cities. In Brazil, BYD remained the best-selling brand of new energy vehicles for five consecutive months; In Thailand, Singapore, and other countries, BYD became the champion in cumulative sales of pure electric vehicles for the entire year; In Costa Rica and Colombia, BYD also emerged as the winner in cumulative sales of new energy vehicles for the entire year.

As one of the two automotive powerhouses in Guangdong, GAC Group has completed market layouts in five major regions: the Middle East, the Americas, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe, covering 39 countries and regions. Its joint venture subsidiary, GAC Honda, has embarked on the international stage, exporting the ZR-V and Odyssey hybrid models to the European and Japanese markets respectively, with a total export volume of over 20,000 units, enabling its manufacturing capabilities to be recognized in the overseas markets.

奔赴全球!广东新能源车出口持续增长

当前,汽车产业正加速向新能源方向转型,乘用车智能化、电动化、全球化正在成为重要趋势,中国新能源汽车出口明显提速。

口岸班列提供新通道

国产汽车加速“出海”的背后,离不开物流供应链的强有力支撑。地处粤港澳大湾区地理几何中心区域的广州南沙汽车口岸,拥有7个万吨级以上滚装汽车专用泊位、1.8公里码头岸线、近160万平方米商品车堆场,是国内最大的汽车滚装码头集群之一。

“目前,南沙汽车口岸累计开辟7条外贸汽车出口航线,覆盖中东、欧洲、南美、东南亚等地区的多个国家,吸引了包含雪佛兰、长安、吉利、奇瑞等在内的十余个汽车品牌于南沙出口。”南沙汽车码头业务拓展部经理陆春荣表示,为畅顺国产汽车“出海”通道,南沙汽车口岸还将新增港澳泊船和国际中转业务,推动国产新能源汽车在南沙进行集港出口。

除了南沙汽车口岸持续完善汽车出口配套服务外,位于广州北部的中欧班列广州国际港站点,近年来也响应企业诉求开始承接汽车出口业务。目前,该站点的班列线路已联通西欧、东欧、西亚、中亚、东南亚等20多个国家和地区的40多个城市,为我国汽车出口共建“一带一路”国家提供了新的贸易通道。

新能源整车奔赴全球

2023年12月29日,比亚迪墨西哥分公司向墨西哥城交通政府部门交付了首批20台电动大巴并投入运营。本次合作的共55台纯电动大巴,是迄今为止墨西哥分公司单次交付规模最大的电动大巴车队。

回顾2023年,比亚迪年度销量超额完成年初定下的300万辆目标,夺得了全球新能源汽车销冠。具体而言,出口242765台,同比增长334.2%。作为一家影响全球的广东企业,比亚迪新能源的足迹已经覆盖全球六大洲的70多个国家和地区,超400个城市。在巴西,比亚迪连续5个月成为新能源汽车销量总冠军;在泰国、新加坡等国,比亚迪获得全年纯电动汽车累计销量冠军;在哥斯达黎加、哥伦比亚,比亚迪问鼎全年新能源汽车累计销量冠军。

作为广东汽车两极之一的广汽集团,已完成中东、美洲、非洲、东南亚、东欧5大板块、39个国家和地区的市场布局。旗下合资企业广汽本田开启了国际赛道:致在和奥德赛混动车型分别出口至欧洲、日本市场,双车出口销量超2万辆,制造实力得到海外市场认可。
