On January 6^th, the "Lingnan Traditional Chinese Medicine - Intangible Cultural Heritage Promotion and Exhibition Season" officially kicked off in Guangzhou. This innovative event combines exhibitions, performances, sales, and experiences, showcasing the deep integration of "Intangible Cultural Heritage + Mass Culture + Health." From January to March, 42 activities, including exhibitions, historical stories about traditional Chinese medicine, and processions featuring historical figures, will immerse citizens in the charm of Lingnan traditional Chinese medicine, marking the beginning of a healthy year in Guangzhou.

The exhibition highlights 18 traditional medical intangible cultural heritage projects in Guangzhou, displaying 252 precious items related to Lingnan traditional Chinese medicine. From authentic medicinal herbs and traditional pharmaceutical techniques to generations-old diagnostic methods, the exhibition reflects the medical wisdom and health perspectives of the people of Lingnan.

The "Good Medicine from Lingnan" section features iconic names like Chenliji, Pangaoshou, Caizhilin, Jingxiutang, Xiachaihu, Ertianyou, Xiasangju, Zhongyi Angong Niuhuang Wan, and others. Visitors can witness the production processes, raw materials, and cultural artifacts, including Chenliji’s century-old couplets, Jingxiutang relics, and traditional mixing jars from the 1940s to the 1980s. Engaging stories such as "Six Clever Ways to Choose Dried Tangerine Peel" and "All Parts of Deer Can Be Medicine" provide practical knowledge about Lingnan traditional Chinese medicine.

To enhance public understanding of the development of traditional Chinese medicine, the event features the "Brilliant Star River - History Stories Exhibition of Traditional Chinese Medicine." This immersive exhibition integrates 19 historical anecdotes and significant events from ancient times into the cultural ambiance of the Guangzhou Cultural Center.

Visitors exploring the corridors gain insights into the origin of modern acupuncture and the essence of the "Art of Qihuang." The selected stories are based on the relief sculptures along the corridors of the Lingnan Traditional Chinese Medicine Town, which earned the Guinness World Record for the "World's Longest Sandstone High Relief" in November 2017. After the visit, many expressed their desire to explore the town.

On the opening day, an original "Time-Traveling With Historical Figures Garden Party" was organized, featuring representative medical sages from different historical periods. Figures like Fuxi, Huangdi, Qibo, Huatuo, Gehong, his wife Baogu, and Li Shizhen made appearances. Amidst the classic recitation of the "Renyue Class" from the Guangzhou Cultural Center, these revered figures interacted with visitors. Meanwhile, Li Zhujiang, a provincial representative inheritor of traditional bone-setting in Xiguan, demonstrated the vigorous Five Animal Frolics.

来广州过健康年，带您领略岭南中医药非遗之魅力

1月6日，“岭南传统中医药非遗宣传展示季”系列活动正式启动。本次活动是广州传统中医药非遗首次以展览、展演、展销、体验等综合形式集中呈现，也是“非遗+群文+健康”的创造性深度融合。1月至3月间期间，将会举行非遗展、中医药历史故事展、中医药历史人物巡游活动等42场活动，让广大市民在2024年开年就能沉浸式感受岭南中医药非遗的魅力，共度一个广式健康年。

展览以广州市18项传统医药类非遗项目为主要展陈内容，展示252件岭南中医药珍品。从道地的草药品种、传统的制药技艺再到世代相传的诊疗方法，充分体现岭南人民的医学智慧和养生观。

在展览的“岭南出好药”板块，陈李济、潘高寿、采芝林、敬修堂、小柴胡、二天油、夏桑菊、中一安宫牛黄丸等8个老字号中药文化或制药技艺齐聚。现场不仅展示多种药物的制作流程和原材料，还展出陈李济百年楹联、敬修堂文物、20世纪40-80年代的潘高寿传统调配罐等丰富的中医药文化珍品，还通过“六个妙招，选好陈皮”“鹿的全身都是宝”“养肺正当时”等生动有趣的故事为观众科普岭南中医药的实用知识。

为了让市民充分了解传统中医药发展脉络，本次活动通过移步易景、融合构景的手法，呈现“灿灿星河——中医药历史故事展”，将19个从远古到清代的中国中医药发展历史典故与大事记融入广州市文化馆古色古香的建筑氛围之中。

漫步游廊，游客能了解现代针灸的起源、“岐黄之道”的内涵。据介绍，这批历史故事节选、取材于岭南国医小镇的浮雕景观长廊。2017年11月26日，该景观长廊荣获“世界最长砂岩深浮雕”吉尼斯纪录。参观完现场后的游客们纷纷表示，要去国医小镇一探究竟。

在开幕式当天，主办方原创组织了一场穿越时空的“中医药历史人物游园会”，各个历史时期代表性的医学先贤轮番登场表演。包括伏羲、黄帝、岐伯、华佗、葛洪和妻子鲍姑、李时珍等众多“先贤”，在广州市文化馆中华好少年经典导读“仁粤班”的经典诵读声中，与游客见面和互动。同时西关正骨省级代表性传承人李主江为观众展示了圆活有力的五禽戏。
