Chow Tai Fook surpasses Hermès and Rolex in sales

Deloitte recently released its report named Global Powers of Luxury Goods 2023', revealing that in the 2022 fiscal year, Chow Tai Fook's sales exceeded those of France's Hermès and Switzerland's Rolex.

According to reports, Deloitte compiled the consolidated performance of global high-end retail companies in the 2022 fiscal year, listing the top 100 companies in global revenue.

Among the top ten luxury companies in terms of revenue, French LVMH Group and Kering Group continued to hold the first and second positions. It is noteworthy that, benefiting from the reduced impact of the pandemic on the global market, Switzerland's Richemont Group, the parent company of Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, saw a significant 50.1% year-on-year increase in sales in the 2022 fiscal year, once again rising to the third position in global revenue.

Like Richemont Group, Chow Tai Fook also benefited from the revival of the jewelry market. In the 2022 fiscal year, Chow Tai Fook's consolidated sales reached 12.563 billion dollars (approximately 89.8 billion yuan), achieving a year-on-year growth of 41.1%. This elevated Chow Tai Fook's market share above that of Hermès and Rolex, and it moved from the eighth position in 2021 to the seventh-largest global high-end retail company in the 2022 fiscal year.

Media reports suggest that the substantial growth in Chow Tai Fook's sales in 2022 is attributed, on the one hand, to the opening of numerous new stores in the Chinese mainland market and, on the other hand, to the robust demand from Chinese mainland consumers for gold jewelry.

According to reports, among the 100 enterprises entering Deloitte's list, there are a total of 11 Chinese companies, with only Lanvin Group, the parent company of LANVIN, being a fashion accessory company. The remaining 10 are all gold and jewelry companies, including Chow Tai Fook, Lao Feng Xiang, China National Gold Group Gold Jewellery, Chow Sang Sang Jewellery, DR, and CHJ Jewelry.

周大福销售额超过爱马仕和劳力士

Deloitte德勤咨询近期发布的《2023全球奢侈品力量》报告显示,2022财年,周大福珠宝集团有限公司的销售额超过了法国的爱马仕国际和瑞士的劳力士公司。

据报道,德勤整理了全球高端零售公司在2022财年的合并业绩,列出了全球收入前100的公司名单。

在收入排名前十的奢侈品公司中,法国LVMH集团和Kering开云集团继续保持第一和第二的位置。值得注意的是,得益于疫情对全球市场的影响减弱,卡地亚和梵克雅宝品牌母公司——瑞士历峰集团Richemont在2022财年销售额同比大涨50.1%,再度回升至全球收入第三位置。

与瑞士历峰集团一样,周大福珠宝也受益于复苏重振的珠宝市场。在2022财年,周大福珠宝合并销售额125.63亿美元(约合人民币898亿元),实现同比增长41.1%。这让周大福珠宝的市场份额超过爱马仕和劳力士,从2021年的第八位上升至2022财年全球第七大高端零售公司。

据媒体报道,2022年周大福珠宝的销售额大幅增长,一方面是得益于其在中国内地市场大量新店开张,另一方面是内地消费者对黄金珠宝首饰旺盛的需求拉动了其业绩。

据报道,进入德勤这份100强名单的中国企业共有11家,仅有LANVIN母公司复朗集团是一家服饰配饰品牌管理公司,其余10家都是黄金珠宝首饰企业,分别为周大福珠宝、老凤祥、中国黄金集团黄金珠宝股份有限公司、周生生集团、钻石婚戒品牌DR珠宝母公司、潮宏基珠宝等。
