On the morning of November 21st, two "dressed-up" wedding buses slowly departed from the Zede Garden Bus Terminal in Guangzhou. Unlike the regular appearance of Guangzhou buses, the two wedding buses featured a special screen displaying "520 Happiness Express" on the front, colorful golden dragons on the sides of the windshield, Western and Chinese-style wedding photos of a couple displayed on each side of the bus, and "Double Happiness" paper-cut for window decoration complementing the vibrant red body. Driving on the road, they attracted special attention and exuded a festive atmosphere.

Lively and environmentally friendly bus wedding

Why choose a bus as a wedding car? Mr. Bi, the groom, said that they saw the option of renting a bus for wedding ceremonies on a social platform and found it refreshing. He added, "Compared to traditional car fleets, wedding buses are more cost-effective with a larger capacity of people. With just one vehicle, we can easily handle the wedding procession without worrying about the number of cars or vehicle arrangements. It comes with a dedicated driver, ensuring both safety and practicality."

Miss Shi, the bride, emphasized the lively atmosphere of the wedding buses. She said, "The red color of the Guangzhou buses itself matches the theme perfectly. The spacious interior allows more family and friends to join in. We can sing songs and play games along the way for communication and interaction. With such a fantastic atmosphere, and by sharing these moments with loved ones, we create more joyful memories.

Besides the cost-effectiveness and lively atmosphere, the couple also mentioned that choosing new energy buses is more environmentally friendly, and the concept is innovative. They hope to create beautiful memories in their lives through this unique way of celebrating.

More customized services introduced

According to the introduction, the wedding buses are provided by Guangzhou NO 2 Bus Co., Ltd., which launched the "wedding bus" customization service in March of this year. The two vehicles used in this service are both K9 electric buses, equipped with 22 seats and ample standing space, allowing the journey of the newlyweds to become a shared experience with their family and friends.

Mr. Tan, the on-site responsible person, explained that in addition to the general wedding car rental, the wedding bus service also offers additional services such as decorating and arranging the vehicle body and interior. He added, "We have successfully provided customized wedding bus services for four couples. Especially as we approach the end of the year 2023, when there are more auspicious wedding dates, we have already received inquiries and reservations for next year."

Regarding the drivers, the company has carefully selected experienced drivers to better serve the newlywed couples. Among them, Mr. Peng Dongfang, a line supervisor from Line 134, is responsible for driving the main wedding bus.

Peng expressed his honor to be driving a bus wedding car for the first time in his career. He said, "Usually, I transport passengers safely to their destinations as my responsibility. 11月21日清晨，两辆“盛装打扮”的巴士婚车从广州市泽德花苑公交总站缓缓发出。与往日广州公交车的外观涂装不同，两辆巴士婚车车头播放“520欢喜专线”专属显示屏，挡风玻璃两侧放置五彩金龙，车身两侧分别展示一对新人的西式以及中式婚纱照，“双喜”窗花配上大红车身，行驶在路上喜气洋洋，格外引人注目。

巴士迎亲热闹又环保

为什么选择巴士作为迎亲婚车？新郎毕先生表示，他们在某社交平台看到有租巴士车迎亲的选择，觉得很新鲜，“巴士婚车相比传统小车车队，价格上也会经济实惠些，容载量大，一台车就可以搞定迎亲环节，不用再考虑婚车数量、车辆安排等让人头疼的问题，配有专属的司机，安全又实用。”

更多定制服务上线

据介绍，承接此次巴士婚车定制服务的是广州巴士集团二分公司，今年3月首次推出“巴士婚车”定制业务。本次服务新人的两台车辆均是K9纯电动公交，车内配置22个座位，加上站的空间大，足够让两人的结亲之旅，变成新人和家人朋友的一路同行。

现场负责人谭先生介绍，巴士婚车业务在一般的婚车租赁的基础上，也可以为结婚新人提供车体车身装饰布置等配套服务。“目前我们已成功为四对新人提供巴士婚车的定制业务，尤其是临近年底，结婚的‘好日子’比较多，还有新人联系我们预约了明年的档期。”

在驾驶员方面，该公司精心挑选了经验丰富的驾驶员来更好地服务新婚夫妇，其中，负责驾驶主婚车的是来自134线路的线长彭东方。

彭东方说，这是他从业以来第一次开巴士婚车：“平时载着市民乘客在线路上行驶，将乘客安全地送到一个个目的站点是我们的责任；而担任两位新人婚车的驾驶员，我很荣幸能成为他们感情的见证者，也由衷地为一对新人送上祝福，希望他们新婚快乐，携手到达幸福的终点站！”
