On November 20th, the Uzbekistan-China Business Forum was held in Guangzhou. Government representatives from Uzbekistan and Guangdong, China, as well as more than 250 business delegates from both sides, attended the event.

On that day, Uzbekistan and Chinese enterprises in Guangzhou signed multiple cooperation agreements covering various fields, including biotechnology, automotive components, medical testing, tourism, and education. During the forum, there was also a plaque unveiling ceremony for the China-Uzbekistan Biopharmaceutical Industry Technology Research Institute, signaling further collaboration between the two parties in the future.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative, and Uzbekistan is an active participant and staunch supporter of the initiative. As China's leading economic province, Guangdong has achieved fruitful results in economic and trade cooperation with Uzbekistan.

The data indicates that in 2022, Guangdong and Uzbekistan achieved a total foreign trade import and export volume of 5.427 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 31.4%. In the first 10 months of this year, the import and export volume reached 6.89 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 61.8%.

In achieving high-level connectivity, the new "China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan" multimodal transportation corridor, starting from Guangzhou International Port and Shenzhen's Pinghu South Railway Station, has brought high-quality products from Guangdong, such as daily necessities, new energy vehicles, and photovoltaic products, into the daily lives of the people in Uzbekistan. At the same time, high-quality fruits and agricultural products from Uzbekistan have entered numerous households in Guangdong.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Odilovich Saidov, mentioned in his speech that three years ago, he, in his capacity as the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to China, witnessed the opening ceremony of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou. He stated, "Being able to visit this beautiful city again is a special honor for me. Guangzhou plays an important role in strengthening regional ties between Uzbekistan and China in various fields and promoting practical cooperation."

Saidov revealed that in June 2024, BYD will launch a new electric vehicle production plant in Uzbekistan. Additionally, he expressed anticipation for cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the fields of innovative technology, green energy, and smart agriculture.

According to information gathered on-site, Guangdong imports goods exceeding $450 billion annually, reflecting a substantial demand for imported products. From the perspective of the supply chain, high-quality "Guangdong goods" enjoy global popularity. Over 30% of global mobile phones and smart home appliances, 50% of 5G devices, 70% of commercial drones, and 12% of new energy vehicles are manufactured by companies in Guangdong.

Representatives from Guangdong and Uzbekistan have both expressed that unprecedented prospects are unfolding in economic and trade cooperation between the two sides. They hope to work together to promote the implementation of more cooperative projects and achievements, jointly crafting a new chapter in the economic and trade cooperation between Guangdong and Uzbekistan.

“乌兹别克斯坦—中国”商业论坛在穗举行，签署多项合作协议

11月20日，“乌兹别克斯坦—中国”商业论坛在广州举行。来自乌兹别克斯坦与中国广东的政府代表及中乌双方250多家企业代表到场。

当天，乌兹别克斯坦与中国广州企业签署多项合作协议，涉及生物技术、汽车零配件、医学检验、旅游、教育等多个领域。论坛期间还举行了中国—乌兹别克斯坦生物医药产业技术研究院的揭牌仪式，双方未来将就此展开进一步合作。

今年是共建“一带一路”倡议提出十周年，乌兹别克斯坦是共建“一带一路”倡议的积极参与者和坚定支持者。作为中国第一经济大省，广东与乌兹别克斯坦的经贸合作取得了丰硕的成果。

数据显示，2022年广东与乌兹别克斯坦实现外贸进出口54.27亿元，同比增长31.4%。今年前10个月实现进出口68.90亿元，同比增长61.8%。

在实现高水平互联互通方面，以广州国际港、深圳平湖南站为起点的“中吉乌”公铁联运新通道，将广东的日用百货、新能源汽车、光伏等优质产品带入乌兹别克斯坦人民的日常生活，乌兹别克斯坦的优质水果、农产品也进入了广东的千家万户。

乌兹别克斯坦共和国外交部部长巴赫季约尔·赛义多夫在致辞中提到，三年前，他以乌兹别克斯坦驻华大使的身份见证了乌兹别克斯坦驻广州总领事馆的开馆仪式。“能够再次访问这座美丽的城市，对我而言是一份特殊的荣誉。广州在加强乌中两国多领域的区域联系、推动实际合作等方面发挥着重要的作用。”

赛义多夫透露，2024年6月，比亚迪在乌兹别克斯坦生产电动车的新工厂将启动。此外，他还期待乌中双方在创新技术、绿色能源、智慧农业等领域进行合作。

记者在现场了解到，广东每年进口商品超过4500亿美元，对进口商品有着海量需求。从供应链看，优质的“广货”畅销全球。全球超过30%的手机和智能家电、50%的5G设备、70%的商用无人机以及12%的新能源汽车，都是来自广东的生产厂家。

广东与乌兹别克斯坦代表均表示，双方在经贸合作方面正展现出前所未有的前景，希望能携手推动更多合作项目与合作成果落地，共同谱写广东与乌兹别克斯坦经贸合作的新篇章。
