On October 28^th, the sharing event for outstanding works of the 28^th Yangcheng Evening News Newspaper Handwriting Contest was held at the Sun Yat-sen Library of Guangdong Province.Representatives of contestants from home and abroad presented their works through speeches or videos, sharing their creative insights.

With "Biodiversity" as its theme, the Contest this year also featured the "Baiwang Cup" Chinese Newspaper Handwriting Contest (China area) and the "My Storyboard Competition" as part of the GD Youth Link series of international youth exchange activities (International area).

During the event, Sun Xuan, Vice President and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Yangcheng Evening News Group, mentioned in the speech that as a cultural flagship rooted in the GBA with a strong connection to the Lingnan area, Yangcheng Evening News is committed to providing a stage for young people to express themselves and show their talents. With four years of effort since 2020, the contest has conducted friendly exchanges with over 40 partner cities from over 20 countries worldwide.

Liang Hui, Deputy Director of the Working Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, encouraged the young contestants to take practical actions to reduce energy consumption and pollutant emissions, so as to contribute to the ecological construction of a beautiful Guangdong.

Chen Guangjun, Vice Chairman of the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, mentioned that starting in 2021, the Association has joined hands with the Yangcheng Evening News Group to initiate the international competition area while establishing the GD Youth Link Award targeting overseas young people, hoping the students to have a deeper reflection on the future development of the world.

According to the information learned, 369 groups of award-winning contestants emerged from the domestic competition area, including 9 groups of single award winners, 13 groups of top prize winners, 28 groups of first prize winners, 80 groups of second prize winners, and 239 groups of third prize winners. Twenty-eight groups of award-winning contestants emerged from the international competition area, including 2 groups of gold medal winners, 6 groups of silver medal winners, 12 groups of bronze medal winners, 6 groups of excellence award winners, and 2 groups of participation award winners.

During the event, certificates were presented to the contestants by the guests present, and some of the award winners were invited to share their experiences. Chen Yitao from a middle school in Panyu District, shared his experience of newspaper handwriting on behalf of the middle school group. He mentioned that he has participated in the contest for six consecutive years. As the slogan "Enjoy the Charm of Words and the Joy of Newspapers" suggests, he composed four articles and paired them with elaborate artworks, incorporating his understanding of biodiversity into the handwritten newspaper.

Xu Zheyuan and Li Xuan, students from a middle school in Malaysia, introduced their original intention of the work design via video link. They also expressed their gratitude for China's efforts in ecological protection and called for more efforts to protect the environment while hoping for more opportunities to participate in similar events in the future.

第28届羊城晚报手抄报创作大赛落幕

10月28日下午，第28届羊城晚报手抄报创作大赛优秀作品分享活动在广东省立中山图书馆报告厅隆重展开。来自国内外的参赛选手代表以演讲或视频的方式展示了自己的作品，分享了创作心得。

据悉，2023年大赛以“生物多样性”为主题，推出（国内赛区）“百旺杯”华语手抄报大赛和（国际赛区）广东国际青少年交流系列活动GD Youth Link之My Storyboard Competition。

现场，羊城晚报报业集团副社长、副总编辑孙璇在致辞中提到，作为立足湾区、深耕岭南的文化大报，羊城晚报致力于为青少年群体搭建一个敢于表达、展现自我的舞台，自2020年起，历经4年的努力，大赛已与全球超20个国家、40座友好城市进行友好交流。

广东省关心下一代工作委员会副主任梁晖鼓励同学们以实际行动减少能量资源消耗和污染排放，为绿美广东生态建设贡献青春力量。

广东省委外事工作委员会办公室副主任、广东省人民对外友好协会副会长陈广俊则提到，2021年起，协会与羊城晚报报业集团合作新增了国际赛区，并增设面向海外青少年的GD Youth Link奖，期待同学们对国家对世界今后的发展方向有更加深刻的思考。

记者了解到，本次赛事国内赛区共决出369组获奖选手，其中单项奖9组，特等奖13组，一等奖28组，二等奖80组，三等奖239组；国际赛区共决出28组获奖选手，其中金奖2组，银奖6组，铜奖12组，优秀奖6组，参与奖2组。

现场，与会嘉宾为各选手授予了证书，并邀请部分获奖选手展开分享。广州市番禺区广铁一中铁英学校陈奕涛作为国内赛区初中组选手代表，带来了自己与手抄报大赛的故事，他提到，自己已经是连续第六年参与比赛，正如标语“体验文字魅力，享受办报乐趣”所言，自己精心撰写了四篇文章并配上画作，将对生物多样性的理解融入手抄报的创作中。

来自马来西亚沙巴城镇中学的许哲源、李璇两位同学则通过视频介绍了作品设计的初衷，他们对中国在生态环境保护方面做出的努力表达了感谢，呼吁人们保护环境，并希望今后有更多机会参与到类似的活动中去。
