The 6th World Hakka Businessmen Convention is scheduled to take place in Meizhou from November 2nd to 4th. More than 800 delegates and guests from over 100 countries and regions will participate in the conference. Five parallel sessions will take place in five countries, including France, Canada, Argentina, Mauritius, and Australia, further expanding the global influence of the conference.

The conference activities are divided into three phases: pre-conference, during the conference, and post-conference. These activities include the opening ceremony, trade and business discussions, academic forums, cultural promotions, sports events, and more, with three main highlights.

1. "Expanding high-level opening to the outside world"

Relying on the rich resources offered by overseas Chinese and compatriots from HK SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan Province living in Meizhou, the convention will organize a series of events, such as the "Lingnan Journey" for a hundred young entrepreneurs from Taiwan Province's Hakka community, the 2023 "Xianzi Cup" Chinese Youth Football Invitational Finals, and the Dongshan Health - 2023 Meizhou Marathon, to promote Meizhou's global outreach and expand Guangdong's "circle of friends."

2. "Enhancing high-quality development momentum"

The conference will host investment promotion events for the revitalization and development of the revolutionary areas in three provinces: Jiangxi, Fujian, and Guangdong. These events will highlight the favorable business environment, investment platforms, and cooperative projects in these provinces, fostering greater exchanges and cooperation between the former central revolutionary areas and the Hakka regions. The conference will also feature themed presentations and high-level dialogues by business representatives and academic experts, fostering a consensus on high-quality development and accelerating the construction of the "Rongwan Pilot Zone." Groundbreaking and production commencement ceremonies will be held, with a focus on industries such as high-tech, biopharmaceuticals, cultural and creative industries, modern logistics, finance, and services. Investment attraction will be carried out targeting specific industries to expedite major projects, providing additional support for high-quality development.

3. "Showcasing profound Hakka culture"

The conference will host Chinese Han Opera performances from five provinces: Shaanxi, Hunan, Hubei, Fujian, and Guangdong, showcasing the essence of Guangdong's Hakka Han Opera, known as the "Southern Peony." Activities such as Hakka Food Week will promote cultural exchanges in cuisine between Hakka regions in Guangdong, Fujian, and Jiangxi, aiming to create a cultural feast with rich Cantonese and Hakka flavors.

Meizhou, one of the seven original central revolutionary areas in China and the only prefecture-level city in Guangdong that falls within the original central revolutionary area, boasts a picturesque environment surrounded by green hills and clear waters. With a rich cultural heritage and a strong emphasis on education, Meizhou is a renowned national historical and cultural city, a national forest city, and a city of longevity in the world. In the first half of this year, the city achieved a regional GDP of 63.802 billion yuan, representing a 5.3% year-on-year growth, ranking fifth in the province and first among the five mountainous cities.

第六届世界客商大会将于11月2日至4日在梅州举行，来自100多个国家和地区逾800名客商和嘉宾将参加大会。届时，大会将在法国、加拿大、阿根廷、毛里求斯、澳大利亚等地设立五大洲分会场，进一步扩大世界客商大会的全球影响力。

大会活动分为会前、会中、会后三个阶段，包括开幕大会、经贸商务、学术论坛、文化宣传、体育赛事等，主要有三方面亮点。

一是聚焦“扩大高水平对外开放”。充分依托梅州丰富的侨胞和港澳台同胞资源优势，举办台湾百名客属青年企业家岭南行、2023“宪梓杯”中国青少年足球邀请赛决赛、东山健康·2023梅州马拉松比赛等系列活动，推动梅州走向世界，扩大广东“朋友圈”。

二是聚焦“增强高质量发展后劲”。举办江西、福建、广东三省苏区振兴发展投资推介活动，重点推介三省良好的营商环境、投资平台和合作项目，增进原中央苏区、客属地区间的交流合作。邀请客商代表、院士专家作主题报告或进行高端对话，广泛凝聚高质量发展共识，加快建设苏区融湾先行区。举行项目动工和投产仪式，紧紧围绕高新技术、生物医药、文化创意、现代物流、金融和服务等产业，开展产业链招商、靶向招商、精准招商，推动重大项目提速提质，为高质量发展提供更多增量支撑。

三是聚焦“彰显高层次客家文化”。举办陕西、湖南、湖北、福建、广东五省中国汉剧展演，展现“南国牡丹”广东汉剧国粹精华。举行客家美食周等活动，促进赣闽粤等客属地区饮食文化交流，致力打造一场粤味浓厚、客味十足、韵味悠长的文化盛宴。

梅州是全国七个之一、广东唯一全域属原中央苏区范围的地级市，青山环抱、绿水绕城，文风鼎盛、崇文重教，是远近闻名的国家历史文化名城、国家森林城市、世界长寿之都。今年上半年，全市地区生产总值638.02亿元，同比增长5.3%，增速居全省第5位、山区五市第1位。
