In November last year, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province selected 20 cases of the most beautiful cultural spaces, and the Ulibrary in Dongxiao Street, Luohu District, Shenzhen, is among them.

In recent years, Guangdong has actively promoted the construction of new public cultural spaces. As one of the representative cases of Shenzhen's efforts to build a modern public cultural service system, Ulibrary has become a unique spiritual habitat in the prime location of the IBC Global Business Center, thanks to its unique spatial design and rich collection of documents.

Although it is already noon on a regular workday, the small library is almost full of readers: several citizens are reading books, forming a beautiful picture together with the surrounding green plant decorations. Besides the book wall, there is also a citizen sitting cross-legged, engrossed in reading, as if the busyness of the outside world has been blocked out…

Compared to other libraries, Ulibrary is located in the Shuibei commercial center, and its biggest highlight is the jewelry theme, hence it is also known as the IBC Jewelry Library.

"The library is very popular here. Most of the people who come here are residents living in the nearby area. Some mothers bring children to visit, and also many jewelry designers and jewelry enthusiasts come to take a photo," said Zhang Lei, director of the reading and promotion department of the ULibrary. According to Zhang, the library covers an area of 300 square meters and has been open to the public for free since December 18th, 2021. It currently holds 10,000 books and offers a citywide loan return service.

Multiple computers in the library can access the library database, as well as a fun children's digital picture book machine for readers of all ages to experience. The comfortable environment, along with complete facilities, makes people can't help but immerse themselves in the exquisite beauty of the library.

It is worth mentioning that this place is open to the public 24 hours a day, and readers can enjoy the convenience of public culture at any time. According to statistics, the average daily visitor flow of the library is over 300 people, with a total of 144,000 visitors in the first eight months of this year and a circulation of 10,500 books.

The Ulibrary not only provides book borrowing services, but also offers services covering art appreciation, skills training, cultural exchange, educational learning, and life experience for readers. Its activities focus on being practical and interesting. In terms of the form of the events, there are not only book clubs and storytelling sessions, but also baking classes, storytelling performances, traditional music appreciation, handicraft workshops, and so on. These small-scale community activities are highly welcomed by community residents.

It is known that on the one hand, Luohu District is trying to transform and upgrade the existing community libraries, and on the other hand, it is also exploring new areas of services by opening public libraries in shopping malls. Currently, there are 25 Ulibraries in the entire district.

去年11月，广东省文化和旅游厅评选出20个最美新型公共文化空间案例，深圳罗湖区悠·图书馆（东晓街道）名列其中。

广东近年来积极推动新型公共文化空间建设，作为深圳着力构建现代公共文化服务体系的代表案例之一，罗湖区悠·图书馆凭借着独特的空间设计与丰富的文献收藏，成为寸土寸金IBC商务中心，别具一格的心灵栖息地。

虽然已近中午，且是普通工作日，但不大的图书馆内将近“满员”：几位市民正翻阅图书，他们认真的样子，和周边的绿植装饰一起组成美丽的画面。书墙旁边，还有一位市民盘腿端坐，目不转睛地看书，仿佛外界的繁忙与他无关……

相比其他图书馆，这个图书馆地处水贝商圈，最大的亮点在于“珠宝主题”，故又名IBC珠宝图书馆。

“平时这里人气很旺，来者大都是周边居民，有妈妈带着小朋友过来参观的，还有不少珠宝设计师和珠宝爱好者过来打卡。”罗湖区图书馆阅读推广部主任张蕾介绍，该图书馆占地300平方米，自2021年12月18日起面向公众免费开放，目前馆藏10000册图书，开通了全市通借通还服务。

馆内还有多台可以访问图书馆数据库的电脑以及趣味少儿数字绘本机，供各年龄段读者自由体验。温馨舒适的环境、一应俱全的设备，让人不禁感慨“精致的美”。

值得一提的是，这里24小时面向市民开放，读者可随时尽享公共文化的便利。据统计，目前该馆日均客流量超300人次，今年前8个月进馆14.4万人次，外借册次达1.05万册。

悠·图书馆不仅提供图书借阅服务，还为读者提供艺术欣赏、技能培训、文化交流、教育学习、生活体验等功能服务。其活动内容注重生活化、趣味化。形式上，不仅有读书会、故事会，还有烘焙课堂、评书表演、民乐欣赏、手工教室等等，这些润物无声的小型社区活动备受社区居民的欢迎。

据了解，深圳罗湖区一方面尝试将原有的社区图书馆进行改造、转型，另一方面又开拓新的建设与服务领域，在商场里开办公共图书馆，目前全区已有25家悠·图书馆。
