The movie "Bodyguards and Assassins" tells a story of folk heroes defending Sun Yat-sen. Little known, however, is that over a hundred years ago, Guangzhou experienced a real "Bodyguards and Assassins". 

In 1922, the reactionary warlord Chen Jiongming staged a military coup in Guangzhou, attempting to assassinate Sun Yat-sen. At the time, Feng Zhaoxian, the captain of the "Yongfeng" gunboat, was ordered to protect Sun Yat-sen and resisted the rebels for over fifty days on the ship, ultimately helping Sun Yat-sen escape. Feng Zhaoxian, a native of Huangpu Village in Guangzhou, received a lot of assistance from the villagers during the rescue. After the event, Feng was pursued by the rebels and had to hide in a villager's clothing box for several days. 

Regrettably, Feng Zhaoxian's health declined due to the rescue, leading to his untimely death at the age of 27. 

岭南说｜这些广州街坊曾勇救孙中山，上演现实版《十月围城》 

电影《十月围城》，讲述了一段民间侠客保卫孙中山的故事。而鲜为人知的是，广州在一百多年前曾上演过一段现实版的《十月围城》。  

1922年，反动军阀陈炯明在广州发动兵变，妄图杀害孙中山。时任“永丰”舰舰长冯肇宪临危受命，将孙中山迎到“永丰”舰上，抵抗叛军五十多天，最终帮助孙中山脱险。作为广州黄埔村人，冯肇宪在营救活动中获得了许多黄埔村村民的帮助。事后，冯肇宪遭到叛军通缉，还曾在村民家的衣箱里躲藏多日。 

然而不幸的是，冯肇宪因营救活动而拖延病情，最终英年早逝，年仅27岁。
