This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road initiative. Over the past decade, the China-Europe Railway Express, growing from strength to strength, has injected fresh development momentum into the traditional industrial city of Duisburg in Germany. In 2011, the inaugural freight train of China-Europe Railway Express arrived in Duisburg, transforming the city into a vital node for the China-Europe Railway Express in Western Europe. This has subsequently led to enhanced cooperation between North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), the state where Duisburg is located, and China.
