The fifth day of the fifth lunar month marks the Dragon Boat Festival. In early summer in Guangzhou, people enjoyed the liveliest Dragon Boat Festival in three years by watching Longzhou Jing (in which Guangzhou's villages would take turns visiting their neighboring villages) and savoring litchees for the holiday. Such scenery shows that Guangzhou's culture and tourism market continues to grow rapidly and operate safely and orderly.
According to the announcement released by the Guangzhou culture, radio, television and Tourism Administration on the evening of June 24th, citizens and tourists were enthusiastic about traveling during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. Guangzhou received nearly 6.23 million visits from citizens and tourists with a year-on-year increase of 32% and a growth of 4.5% compared to 2019. In terms of visits, nearly3.08 million visitors were from outside Guangzhou, with a year-on-year increase of over 31%. The total consumption of culture and tourism activities during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday in the city reached 3.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 58.2%.
According to statistics, during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the booking volume of high-end hotels in Guangzhou increased by more than 6 times year on year, while the booking of homestays increased by more than5.8 times year on year. Also, the booked flight to Guangzhou increased by more than3.9 times year on year.
Beijing Road, Yongqingfang, Chimelong Tourist Resort, Guangzhou Zoo, Baiyun Mountain, Lianhua Mountain and other places have become popular options among tourist attractions. According to data, during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday in2023,27 culture and tourist attractions in Guangzhou received a total of2.3 million visitors. Among them,15 key attractions received a total of582,000 visitors with an increase of 6% compared to the same period last year; three cultural characteristic blocks received a total of1.644 million visitors with an increase of 4.6% compared to the same period last year.
Longzhou Jing is a local activity held during the Dragon Boat Festival in the Guangfu Area (areas covering most of Guangdong Province and part of Guangxi Province). In2022,"Chebei Longzhou Jing" was listed as a representative project of Guangdong's eighth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritages. During the festival, a stunning Longzhou Jing was shown: the colorful Luo Umbrellas with Yue embroidery, the flags with unique clan characteristics, the elaborately decorated dragon heads and tails on boats, the cheering firecrackers and drums, and special dragon boat feasts shared together.
During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the13th"Lizhiwan · New Xiguan" Folk Culture Event themed"The5th day of the5th lunar month with dragon boats' drumming starts the new journey of Liwan" was held in Lizhiwan. Dozens of dragon boats gathered in Lizhiwan to show off their style with different performances. The grand Longchuan Jing attracted audiences to watch on both sides of the river, showcasing Guangzhou's profound dragon boat culture.
“龙舟景”端午火遍羊城!广州端午接待市民游客623万人次
“五月五,过端午”。初夏时节的广州,人们观“龙舟景”,品“荔枝香”,度过了三年来最热闹的端午假期。全市文化旅游市场呈持续快速增长、安全有序运行状态。
根据广州市文化广电旅游局6月24日晚发布的消息,端午假期期间,广大市民游客出游热情较高,全市共接待市民游客近623万人次,同比增长32%,较2019年增长4.5%。接待市民游客中,外地来穗游客近308万人次,同比增长超31%。端午假期全市实现文旅消费总额34.7亿元,同比增长58.2%。
据统计,端午假期广州市高星酒店预订量同比增长超6倍多,民宿预订量同比增长超5.8倍,广州目的地的机票预订量同比增长超3.9倍。
北京路、永庆坊、长隆旅游度假区、广州动物园、白云山、莲花山等成为热门景区。据统计,2023年端午节假期,广州27家文化旅游景区共接待游客230万人次。其中,15个重点景区共接待游客58.2万人次,同比增加超过6%;3个文化特色街区共接待游客164.4万人次,同比增加4.6%。
“龙舟景”是广府地区端午期间举办的民俗活动,2022年,“车陂龙舟景”被列入广东省第八批省级非物质文化遗产代表性项目。节日期间,色泽富丽的广绣罗伞、独具氏族特色的彩旗、精心装饰的龙头龙尾、助兴助威的鞭炮锣鼓、围坐而食的龙船饭,共同拼凑成一幅争奇斗艳的“龙舟景”。
端午假期,第十三届“荔枝湾·新西关”民俗文化活动“五月五·龙船鼓——龙腾荔湾启新程”在荔枝湾举行。数十条龙舟汇聚荔枝湾涌一展风姿,秀龙、斗龙、游龙等盛大的龙船景吸引两岸观众驻足,展现广州深厚的端午龙舟文化。
