A construção do Canal Marítimo de Huangmao, um projeto fundamental na área da Grande Baía Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau, atingiu mais um marco. Em 19 de junho, após quase 4 horas de posicionamento e ligação, a primeira viga em caixão de aço da ponte do porto de Gaolan, uma parte do projeto, foi erguida com êxito, marcando a transição do projeto para a construção da estrutura superior.
A Ponte do Porto de Gaolan é uma ponte estaiada com um vão principal de 700 metros e um comprimento total de 1416 metros. A sua viga principal é constituída por duas vigas-caixão em aço. O peso total da estrutura de aço é de aproximadamente 38 000 toneladas, equivalente a cerca de 90% do peso do Ninho de Pássaro, o Estádio Nacional de Pequim. O peso da primeira viga em caixão de aço erguida é de cerca de 245 toneladas, que se encontra numa secção sem cabos na torre de suporte da Ponte do Porto de Gaolan.

On June 19, after nearly 4 hours of positioning and connection, the first steel box girder of the Gaolan Port Bridge, a part of the project, was successfully erected, marking the transition of the project to the upper structure construction.
The Gaolan Port Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 700 meters and a total length of 1416 meters. Its main girder consists of two steel box girders. The total weight of the steel structure is approximately 38,000 tons, equivalent to about 90% weight of the Bird's Nest, The Beijing National Stadium. The weight of the first erected steel box girder is about 245 tons, which is in a section without cables on the support tower of the Gaolan Port Bridge.
粤港澳大湾区重点工程黄茅海跨海通道项目建设再“上新”。6月19日，经过近4小时持续定位和挂钩，当日下午18时，黄茅海跨海通道项目高栏港大桥首榀钢箱梁架设成功，标志项目转入上部结构施工阶段。
黄茅海跨海通道高栏港大桥为主跨700米、全长1416米的斜拉桥，主梁为分体式钢箱梁，由两个钢箱梁及横向连接箱组成，钢梁由96个节段组成，钢结构总重约3.8万吨，约相当于0.9个“鸟巢”。此次吊装的首榀钢箱梁重量约245吨，是高栏港大桥塔区支架上无索区梁段。
