Guangdong: About 300,000 new urban jobs added in Q1

In the first quarter of 2023, Guangdong Province added more than 295,500 new urban jobs, according to statistics released by the province. This is part of the province's efforts to promote employment through various policies and measures.


Furthermore, the number of unemployed people who have found work in Guangdong during the first quarter of 2023 has reached 103,100, while 20,100 people facing employment difficulties have also found employment. These positive developments indicate a steady improvement in the employment situation in the province.

Policy-oriented jobs increased by 40,000 compared to last year

To address the high number of graduates in the province, which has reached 970,000 this year, the Guangdong Provincial Employment Working Group has recently issued an action plan. The plan includes 10 actions, such as expanding market-oriented positions, guiding grassroots talent, and fast-tracking policy positions, and 35 specific measures to promote employment and entrepreneurship for graduates.


Moreover, the province has also increased efforts to develop policy-oriented positions, with a total of 346,000 policy-oriented positions created by various government agencies, state-owned enterprises, grassroots projects, and military enlistment. This is an increase of more than 40,000 positions from the previous year. Among them, the number of civil servants recruited has increased by 5,000, research assistants by 5,500, and military enlistment by 2,000. These measures have contributed significantly to the province's job creation efforts and have given job seekers more opportunities to pursue their careers.

Weekly job fairs

The job market in Guangdong Province has remained active this year, with the local governments' human resources departments organizing over 2,700 online and offline job fairs since the beginning of the year. Among them, more than 300 job fairs were dedicated to college graduates, with new events being held almost every week, providing many job opportunities for fresh graduates.


On March 10th, the first "Public Employment Service into Campus" event was launched in Zhongshan City, where 246 companies brought over 5,400 high-quality positions to attract over 214,000 online participants. On April 1st, the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center hosted the National College Graduates Job Fair, where 663 well-known companies recruited on the spot, offering over 23,000 quality positions, and attracting more than 25,000 graduates to attend.

In the coming months, the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province plans to hold large-scale job fairs in the Pearl River Delta, eastern, western, and northern Guangdong. These events will include policy briefings, career guidance, live-streamed interviews, and other services, aiming to further improve the employment rate and optimize the job-seeking process for graduates.

Increase employment channel for youth from Hong Kong and Macao

Guangdong Province is taking various measures to promote employment, including expanding job opportunities for Hong Kong and Macao youth. On March 22nd, the Organization Department of the Party Committee of Guangdong Province and the Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province issued a notice announcing the recruitment of 13,058 positions within the civil service system for efficient graduates, with 4,279 of them open to eligible Hong Kong and Macao residents. This move is part of the province's efforts to broaden employment opportunities for Hong Kong and Macao youth.


In addition to centralized recruitment, the Human Resources and Social Security Department is also mobilizing local units to actively organize their own recruitment. According to statistics, in the first quarter, various levels and types of public institutions in the province announced more than 11,000 self-recruitment positions, and throughout the year, at least 68,000 civil service positions will be available to college graduates.

Just a week ago, the Human Resources and Social Security Department announced plans to recruit 3,000 college graduates to work in rural areas as part of efforts to support education, agriculture, healthcare, and rural revitalization.

All of these policy announcements demonstrate Guangdong's commitment to promoting employment.

广东:一季度全省城镇新增就业超29.55万人

广东千方百计促进就业!今年以来,广东各项促进就业政策措施成效显现。 据统计,一季度,广东城镇新增就业29.55万人,失业人员再就业10.31万人、就业困难人员实现就业2.01万人,全省就业呈现回稳向好态势。


政策性岗位比去年增加4万个

2023年广东高校毕业生人数达97万人。近日,广东省就业工作领导小组出台行动方案,部署市场岗位拓展、基层人才引导、政策岗位快招等10项行动,实施35项具体措施,全力以赴推动高校毕业生就业创业。

不仅是市场化岗位,今年广东各地各部门还进一步加大政策性岗位挖掘力度,全省累计统筹机关事业单位、国有企业、基层项目、参军入伍等政策性岗位34.6万个,比2022年增加4万多个。其中公务员招录增加5000个、科研助理增加5500个、应征入伍增加2000个。

几乎每周都有招聘活动

今年以来,全省人社部门累计组织线上线下招聘活动2700多场,其中专属高校毕业生的招聘活动达到300余场,几乎每周都有招聘活动举办,为应届毕业生提供了很多就业机会。


3月10日,中山首场“公共就业服务进校园”活动启动,246家企业携5400多个优质岗位进场揽才,吸引21.4万人次在线参与;4月1日,深圳会展中心举行全国高校毕业生双选会,663家知名企业现场招聘,2.3万个优质岗位吸引2.5万余名高校毕业生到场求职。

接下来,省人社厅还将在珠三角和粤东粤西粤北分别举办大型招聘会,同步开展政策宣讲、职业指导、直播带岗等服务,进一步畅通供求匹配渠道,扩大促进就业效果。

扩宽港澳青年就业渠道

3月22日,省委组织部、省人社厅发布公告,面向高效毕业生集中招聘发布事业单位编制内岗位13058个,其中,4279个岗位向符合条件的港澳居民可报考的开放,不断拓宽港澳青年就业空间。


除集中招聘外,省人社厅还动员部署各地各单位积极组织开展自主招聘。据统计,一季度全省各级各类事业单位发布自主招聘岗位数达1.1万余个,全年全省事业单位将面向高校毕业生提供至少6.8万个编制内招聘岗位。

一周前,广东省人社厅还发布公告,计划招募3000名高校毕业生到基层从事支教、支农、支医和帮扶乡村振兴工作。

这些文件的密集发布,反映了广东为促进就业想尽各种办法。
